Off on tangents

Once again, I woke up very early. Made myself some filter coffee and sat down for a good think ... interrupted, of course, by Ziva, who feels that when I sit on my armchair, it's my duty to scratch her ears, neck, and whatever else she chooses to throw at my hand.

What am I thinking about? Work.

Well, some good news at least: load shedding to be suspended at ten tonight. I'll just have to sit through the six-to-eight darkness first.

I'm trying to figure out how to sell stuff online ... I think I'm just too out of date. I should probably stick to newspaper classifieds.

Back at home, I start mowing. The back is the usual walk-in-the-park. The section outside my bedroom is going smoothly, as well. Lowest setting! Success - all my work there made a big difference! Less than an hour to mow both areas!

The main section, I'm still on the second lowest setting. Some areas I could probably cut at the lowest setting, but I prefer to keep it all at the same level. This area is not really a walk in the park. It's more like an uphill march. I'm able to maintain a steady pace - no shoulder wrenching - which is an improvement over last time! Again, all my work is definitely making a difference!

Which motivated me to carry on with just that, after I mowed what's mowable. Last year I called that area a jungle, and worked diligently to cut it down - with a sickle, with scissors, by any means just to get it down. This year, I want it cleared, not just cut down. And I'm willing to work on that as long as I can. Because that will mean next year I can mow.

I worked until about twenty to six - and then went inside, rushing around to get dinner fried, a bath run ... before the power goes out at six!

I made it just in time!

I bathed. Shared dinner, and then watched another discussion of Star Trek on YouTube. I love hearing different opinions, different views! I just have to keep an eye on data usage ... as, given my present financial situation, I can't afford to buy more.

When the power came back, I turned on the PC and played my audiobook ...
