Good night, at last! Still took Mewthos mewling right in my ear, twice, before I got out of bed and opened up for him to get out.
Now I'm a little lost. Mini is under my feet, hoping for extensive cuddle session - we've already had two of those! She doesn't know the meaning of enough, though. She's just pushed my hairbrush off the bed, to get my attention.
Oh, and Mini deposited the entire bloody mess just inside the front door! Mewthos added his personal note ... I've had fun cleaning that up last night!
I've now washed the sheet in cold water. Twice. And there are still marks on the sheet ... I give up! I've now added my bath towel and set it to wash & dry at 90 degrees, steam wash.
Oh, and that big toad? I watched it carefully emerge from one of my soil bags on the veranda! I just checked, it's still in that bag, happy as a toad in mud!
Kitchen is clean, bread is in progress, house is swept and I've just ordered fruit juice.
It's been drizzling for hours, Mewthos is not happy. He called me outside to show me, as if expecting me to fix this! Ha Ha. Well, he's now curled up on the bed. Smeagol seems to have been hanging around. When I stepped outside, he came mewling. I decided to treat him to a pouch of wet Whiskas.
Great! Power just went off. If I'm lucky, the bread just needs baking, which I can do in the oven when the power comes back.
The laundry was on drying, so I can just hang it up. This sucks
Look what my mippies did during the power outage! Aren't they just too cute for words? An hour later and they're still snuggled tight!
Now I'll have to try and see what I can do with the bread dough ... I'll just have to bake it, and see what comes out: bread of brick ...
I also experimented with the cement. First experiment. Those YouTube videos? Bollocks! I followed the instructions to the letter ... the trouble is the cement. In those videos and on blogs they always refer to specific brands ... which are not available in South Africa. The cement I used was clearly too rough. Well, better luck next time ...
And now I'm drained of all energy. I don't even feel up to taking a bath ... it's been quite cold today. Yesterday we reached 29 Celsius, today's maximum was 22 Celsius. Nonetheless, I've baked the bread, made and packed my lunch ... now I'm about to run myself a bath ...
