I got a call from the boss' wife last night. My boss is in hospital with appendicitis. I must please get in touch with At and find out what's going on, if he's coming, I'm to pick him up & take him home.
Aaaand, power went off. At work! And I'm on my own ... I checked the area, everybody is off. Nobody knows why. Well, the only neighbour I can ask doesn't know. I call the boss' wife - promises to call back right away. Boss is home, though in pain.
An hour and a half later, no call back, but the power came back. So, I called. Sigh ... I'd been hoping for an early Friday ... especially for the long weekend!
Sunday is a public holiday: 1st May = Workers Day. And in South Africa, if a public holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday is a public holiday as well.
I'll be leaving at two, since I have to take At home. Which is an hour out of my way ... good thing I decided last night that I wouldn't mow today, eh?
I'm no longer keen on clearing the section under the Jacaranda tree, now. It's turned into a 'must'. I don't know ... I'd better get it done, though, as some of the weeds are already quite tall ...
Well, I pulled all the tall weeds out. Nothing left taller than my knee, now! Looks a lot better - I'm not overly bothered, though. It's good enough. Now I can do what I feel like ...
I've just listened to a debate of the three candidates for ward Councilor. Interesting. Now I'm ready to settle down ... cuddle mippies ... they all joined me on the bed last night!
That was my view last night. Mini curled up in my arms. When I sat up to take this photo, she gave me a look:
"Why you get up? We was comfy!" My adorable Mini! She is such a snuggle bug!
