Lock-down Day 219

Slow start to the day - and why not? I slept well, got up, let mippies out - who did a quick tour outside before coming back for cuddles!

I'm taking it easy, enjoying my coffee, playing my game, brushing and scratching mippies. Around nine I start actually doing something productive. Hung the leaves up to dry, load of laundry in the machine, cleared some stuff out the garden, cut the second half of yesterday's leaf (after spraying it), and now I'm rolling cigarettes.

Half past one and I finally have a nice stash of cut tobacco - quite damp, but drying. Yikes, those leaves dry faster than I could keep up with the chopping! For today, I've had just about enough! I'll have to wait for the tobacco to dry now, then get busy rolling ... but I've made good progress. The important thing now, is to continue the process to at least keep up with my consumption! Ideally, I'd like to produce more than I smoke.

Well, I've done the dishes - which wasn't really much - but now I'm not motivated to do anything else. I'm itching to get into the garden - there is just so much to do, there, and I'd love to do it ... so I permitted myself a short interval in the rock-garden bed out back. There are aloes there, which seem to have never been touched since they were planted! Okay, so in nature, that's fine! Personally, I don't like the 'wilted' look in my garden, though. So, I'm all for pulling the dried leaves off completely. But here, it's really a problem, because they also planted cactii UNDER the aloes - some of them are nothing but mold now, as they were completely covered by dried aloe leaves! I mean completely - not one ray of sunlight could have reached them in ages! So, that was fun! Cleaning up a little and discovering more to be cleaned up, ha ha! Actually, I do enjoy that. But yeah, I got indoor stuff to take care of first ...

I'm guessing the lack of motivation is a direct result of all the energy having whizzed right through me last night. I haven't had an opportunity to replace it, yet. Oh, I've eaten ... even fruit ... but well, such a complete drain isn't replaced by one meal.

I did, at least, process the blueberries I got yesterday and also finished processing all the bananas! But I haven't had the courage to go into the vegetable drawer, yet.

Well, turns out my stomach hasn't quite recovered. Or rather, nothing has changed. No wonder I'm feeling drained, even though I haven't done much. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow morning.

For now, I'm enjoying the sound of the rain outside - and just hope it's not a thunderstorm (I thought I saw lightning, but haven't heard any thunder) simply because I don't want to find myself without electricity again ...
