Lock-down Day 196

I've had a fun morning! Mewthos mewling incessantly the entire morning - I think he's not happy that I took the lid off their flower fountain, permanently! I also removed the pump. Sorry, but if you keep lifting the lid so water splashes all over the floor? What can I do? They also don't like stepping on the wet towels to drink. Well, toughies!

I got up rather late this morning, with the mewling and the bouncing and the mip-climbing up the burglar bars before sunrise ... Then I made my coffee and had a smoke by the front door - Mewthos mewling non-stop the entire time! No discernable reason! Can you imagine how that can drive one to shout 'Just shut up already!'?

Oh, and Mini used the time I was smoking, to toss my phone off the bed, so: no idea what the time is. Not that I really worry - there's a clock in the car, it looses time but it's good enough.

I gave them a treat, cleaned the litter boxes, topped up the bowl of the flower fountain - I really hope their new one arrives today! Then went off to work.

As I was somewhat late - the half hour news were on - and the goats were milling outside my gate. One of the people living here has a herd of goats, with many baby kids. I've seen them herded every morning & evening this weekend. This morning, they were waiting to be herded and milled outside my gate, cavorting, munching, investigating. The kids didn't show any fear of the car - which also means, no inclination to move out of the way, ha ha! I stopped just outside, then first closed the gate, to make sure no goat wandered inside ... then slowly edged forward. Then someone came running, introduced himself - nice to have so many male neighbours - thanked me for my patience, and I could go to work.

Traffic was flowing better than yesterday morning, but also more traffic. Still, I got to work just before seven, so: no worries!

Since I've spent so much money on my mippies, I've decided it's time I pay a little attention to my cigarette making again. They still haven't got the hand roller at the Spar, so I've now sent an order request to the online store. I was going to order the filling machine from TabakBoer, but they're out of stock. It doesn't hurt to have a back-up, so I'm going to try two different machines from Wesleys. Plus different types of paper and the only option of filters they offer. I've asked for some cherry-flavoured paper as well - should be fun, eh?

I can't keep buying cigarettes, prices have gone up way too much for my budget. This weekend I will definitely have to process leaves again so that next week, I'm back to smoking my home-made ciggies.

Okay, they just delivered the cat furniture I had ordered ... fully assembled! We eventually put down the passenger seat and laid it diagonally into the car, so I could close all doors! I did NOT expect it to be assembled! I'll have fun trying to get that out of the car - on my own - tonight! I'd better take it out of the car before I park inside the garage ... I hope mippies love it as much as I hope they will! Giggle, it hasn't come in a box, so they can't 'prefer the box' to their expensive toy, not this time, ha ha!

The regular mippie treat delivery arrived early this morning, and the meat arrived lunch time. Not long after lunch, they delivered the water fountain! At least, I think that's what's in the box - it's full of Styrofoam bits, so I haven't unpacked it. I did have quite a puzzle WHERE to fit that last box now ... boot and inside of the car are already packed with deliveries! Ha ha! I'm sure making up for last months restraint, eh? With a vengeance! Well, only one more delivery to come: the regular mippie treat tins. They should have been together with the regular treats ... but, ah, well. No worries!

Tonight is going to be fun at home! All these deliveries, most of them for my mippies! Knowing them, they WILL appreciate it - like Janey showed her appreciation for the new litter box, immediately!

I'd really love to go home right now and see my mippies! Put up their new things and watch them!

I wasn't able to finish this post at home last night ... internet ...

Well, I unpacked the furniture (just cut off the shrinkwrap they had wrapped around it) and took it through to the bedroom ... then sat and watched mippies. Who ... ignored it! They're not sure what this is about. I plonked Ziva, Mewthos and Mini into some of the cat-beds, still ... the jumped off fairly quick. Only Janey gave it a good sniff, investigating.

The new water fountain was also mostly investigated by Janey. Funny, because when I set up the flower fountain first time, it was Earl & Mewthos investigating right away! They're all using it, though, so that's something!

I didn't do much last night. After I'd put up the furniture, the fountain and unpacked everything else, I just made myself dinner, ate - shared a piece with Mewthos, but nobody else showed interest, treated mippies of course ... then went to relax on the bed, watching an episode. Mippies came for brushies - Mini in ecstasy, Ziva purring up a storm and Mewthos purring like a diesel engine! Janey is somewhat reserved ... not sure why. She'll need extra time this weekend again, I'm sure!

I did take photos, though! Hopefully, one of these days, I'll have time to post them again. But it's going to be a long wait, as I now have such a lot of cleaning and unpacking to do ... and then I'll re-arrange things again, he he.
