Lock-down Day 213

Around nine Saturday night the power went off. Probably due to the thunderstorm. It's now Monday morning, and the power is still not on.

I had hoped to have power on Sunday, but no luck. Which meant: no coffee! I haven't got a gas cooker, yet. So, I dissolved some instant coffee in a little water and filled the cup with milk - a warmish iced coffee.

Not knowing whether I'd be able to shower, I decided not to get all sweaty in the garden. I did clean the center palm, though - removed heaps of dead fronds.

I did a bit of cleaning in the kitchen, packed a couple of things where I think they fit best, chopped tobacco, rolled about two dozen cigarettes, and that was all I could do. At least I have water, though at low pressure - and no hot water.

By noon, I sent a message to my neighbour, asking whether he knows anything. And by one, I called the manager. He called me back to say that they had power in the yard and his guy on site would come around to check my circuits.

So, I was led to believe that I would have power within minutes ... forty minutes later, still nothing, so I called their guy on site, and he told me: no, they also don't have power since yesterday, they've got their generator running!

So, all that for nothing ... no news, no info, no nothing. Sit, wait and hope ...

Couldn't wash dishes, couldn't shower, couldn't do anything much ...
