I slept quite well, though again got up around 4. Then back to bed, woke up again when the alarm went off, turned over again and finally got up just before seven.
Not sure why he ran outside, because Mewthos was back inside demanding attention within minutes! Pick him up, cuddle till he wants down, I've hardly had time to sit down when he's back demanding to be picked up again. It was a bit too early, though. He went for a foray outside and then Ziva came around eight, closely followed by Mewthos for more cuddles! So, I bribed them with a treat so that I could go out to get my milk. As I was leaving, Mini came running, so I shut her inside as well.
I heard from the farmers son, that apparently the cigarette case was postponed - when I got back home, I checked immediately, but so far I've found no confirmation. The case should be in court right now.
I'm a little lost today. I've done my laundry, but not much else. I'm not sure what to do - there's nothing I urgently need to do, and nothing I feel like doing. One of those days. I fried myself a stead for lunch, shared with Mini - funny thing, she doesn't come near my plate anymore, won't even take a piece I offer! She'll only eat if I throw it on the floor! I have no clue why ... that's been going on for a while, now.
If you were waiting to read about my first magic morning coffee - I'm sorry to disappoint! I hadn't washed the pot last night, so it couldn't be my first cup - and I opted for my usual instant coffee. I did have one cup, though - but it was a little bitter. I kept the flame as small as possible, so I must still be putting too much coffee in the filter.
There has been nothing in the news about a postponement of the court case, but 'oral arguments will be heard tomorrow'. I'm hoping for a lift of the ban this week!
I've re-scheduled my cat food order. Every delivery re-activates the orders on hold. I received mails informing me that a delivery would be due next week - I'm afraid, I'll have to keep mippies on a reduced quantity for the foreseeable future, so I've re-scheduled it for every 4 weeks, not every 2 weeks. That's the sachets.
I've hear nothing about our May application for UIF - so I have to assume that what's in my account now is going to have to pay the rent. It will. Rent and insurances. Only just, but at least it will cover it. I am going to need a regular income again next month though, since I also need to make payments to my credit card.
For some fun news: I've been proclaimed 'honorary grandmother' today! Ha Ha! My friend from PE, who helped me move, became a daddy again today. A lovely baby girl! For some reason he insists on saying that makes me the grandmother :)
Coronacast was interesting today, though I have to admit that I'm confused. They had a few people on the show from different professions who have come together, analysing the data about the coronavirus. And they say that the lock-down was an extreme overreaction. I'm not sure what to think. But I do agree that, even if the lock-down were lifted today, the death toll of the lock-down will be much, much higher than that from COVID-19. Have a look at their website and decide for yourself :)
Just looking at my own little life, how many people in my life need help. Even part of my landlords irrational aggression is a direct result of their financial troubles. Taking that out on me isn't helping, though. Quite the opposite!
I'm facing tough times as well. Fortunately I'm not facing hunger in the foreseeable future. Nor are my cats. Which makes me one of the lucky ones. And our company is operating, we're not completely shut down anymore. And I'm not likely to loose my job, either.
Mippies came in without much of a wait, even Ziva didn't let me wait very long tonight! She's now joined Lady Jane in her shelf. Funny, that! Usually they each have a shelf of their own, Ziva in the second shelf, behind my long sleeve tops and pants, Janey in the third shelf, behind my short sleeve tops and under pants. Mewthos and Mini are spread across the bed - not cuddling, but social distancing.
