Lock-down Day 71

Mippies were not happy about being shut in a 2nd day in a row - I'm worried how they will take my going back to work again? I've washed the puddles off the floor - but still need to wash the furniture it got sprayed against! Sigh!

I drove to work early and got my carton of ... urgh! Express Royal! I can't even tell who manufactures this stuff ... it's 1.4mg Nicotine! 14x stronger than what I normally smoke! Zuma has missed her deadline to submit her affidavit in the Fita cigarette case, probably expected her demand for postponement would be granted. Still, she did submit an affidavit just after midnight - happy to hear she doesn't get to sleep well! However, she demands that, should she loose the case, the ban MUST stay in place until she has had time to appeal. Uhm ... NO! That's not how it works! In the meantime, instead of working on rationalising the Level 3 & 4 regulations, bringing them inline with our constitution - she's been convinced to appeal the ruling, instead! Apparently they have found some lawyers who believe a different court would rule differently ... and they've decided to back THAT horse! 

Quite a bit of internet problems throughout the day, I managed to get into the game this morning, but not for most of the day. Watching the Coronacast was also somewhat frustrating, as it stopped, skipped and re-started several times.

I'm shocked to learn that the tourism industry was told "We'll have a look at re-starting your industry in December". Not only, because the industry will be dead by then, but also: that clearly implies that our government plans to maintain this disastrous state of affairs until at least December! For now, they've only extended it by another month ... and THAT was done without consultation or discussion!

I got several messages about my deliveries, and just called my colleague who confirmed that 3 boxes were delivered. That's everything! If I get confirmation that someone is at work tomorrow, I'll go and collect them tomorrow - otherwise, I'll just have to wait until Monday! The laundry can wait - no problem, but can I wait that long for my coffee? Ha Ha Ha!

Well, I got no message nor a missed call, so I'll assume nobody is working tomorrow. I'll drive to work on Monday to get my goodies!

Mippies all came early and then just marched inside for their treat! Ha Ha Ha, I had to nip my smoke! It was a nice change! Unfortunately, when I started running my bath ... it only filled to ankle depth. Then the water ran out ... why? Well, my landlord is saving money, so he didn't fill the tank. Sigh. At least it's not a regular occurrence ... at least he brought my filled gas bottle! So, I had a cup of chamomile tea instead ...
