Early morning, thanks to twirly boy! He's twirling and twirling and twirling more than ever before! I'm just curious, why he does it? I mean, he wanders around the place, restless, looking for I-don't-know-what ... on his way past my head, I lift the duvet for him to join me for cuddles ... he gives it a look, but walks past ... then goes to my jersey, picks it up and starts twirling! My little weirdo!
Todays mission is to bake cookies! And pizza - I definitely want pizza today. I've taken out some raw Leberkäse, so I want to try and bake that into bread rolls, too. Not just into a loaf of bread, but into rolls. Bit of a challenge.
The Smokers Facebook Group is currently flooded with the 'Kopdoek Challenge' - everybody is posting a pic of themselves with something wrapped around their head (some even using a nappy!) smoking a cigarette! Something to keep us amused while we wait for the FITA court case on Tuesday & Wednesday ... on that matter, our president appears to have admitted that there is no empirical data on which the ban is based. So Zuma is now consulting a hoard of experts, trying to invent some ... I just hope the next carton I buy is legal! I am sick and tired of this crap!
It's all going to come down to the type of judge - whether he's corrupt or not. That's really going to be the issue. Because any straight judge, can't possibly find that banning the sale of cigarettes is fighting the virus! In the beginning, it was accepted that people should ONLY shop for essential goods - so it made sense to restrict the sale of non-essential goods. But from Level 4 onward, NONE of the regulations have anything to do with the virus. Nuff said.
Across the pond, things seem to be even worse, though! The president of America is hiding away in a bunker, has built a big fence around the White House to protect himself from the people he wants to declare war on. He surely has made America Great again, eh? A great big effing mess!
Well, I've had a busy morning. I've baked 2 batches of cookies and still have some dough in the fridge - I didn't prepare another dough. Maybe tomorrow. I've made bread dough, then wrangled off 6 rolls, stuffed them with raw Leberkäse and baked them. I spread the rest of the Leberkäse in bits over a pizza dough, cut up the last tomatoes and topped the lot with mozzarella cheese. That's in the oven now.
The pizza was delicious! I enjoyed two pieces, and was so full afterwards, I took a nap! Ha Ha!
I just had a shouting match with my landlord! Turns out that HE turned off MY water, because he has decided I'm not allowed to bath. I must shower! I said to him that that's not how it works! I pay my rent, I choose whether I bath or shower. In winter I bath. If not, then I'll have to get a heater. Would you believe that he forbade me to get a heater? His complaint is, that I'm running a bath for 15-20 minutes, whereas I shower less than 10 minutes. I told him that the shower runs more liter per minute than the bath, there is no water pressure to fill the bath which is why it takes so long. He shouted how it's a bath for 2 people, not for one, that it uses too much water - to which I replied that THAT is why I never fill it all the way! I told him that he's behaving like Zuma, controlling every aspect of my life, and that that's not how it works! He went off about my washing machine again ... at which point I just walked away. Seriously, I'm no longer surprised his kids don't visit!
This place was advertised as having a bath. I took this place BECAUSE of the lovely bathroom with both shower and bath. He does NOT have the RIGHT to forbid me to bath!
A strip club in Jo'burg has risen to the challenge as well, offering a 'road-strip'!
Oh my word, what next? I heard a noise in the lounge - someone jangling my front door keys! I went to check and guess what? Mini! Trying to unlock the door! She is such an incredibly clever cat - she is finding different ways to communicate her needs to me! Well, ideally, she'd love to take care of them herself! She is really clever!
Well, I boiled water and filled a tub in the kitchen a few times to heat up the bath, then I put on the cold water in the shower while at the same time running hot water into the bath. It wasn't as hot as I like, but at least I'm warmer than I was when I got in. I also notice that he's sabotaged the outlet - he's lifted the pipe into the tree, so that water doesn't run out. Fortunately I had seen that earlier today, so I put it back on the ground after dark again tonight. Still, it's taking an hour for the water to drain. And here I was, all this time, thinking it was blocked! What an asshole!
Anyway, I'm going to wriggle my feet under my mippies again, they keep them lovely and warm all night!
