A full 10 weeks in lock-down now. Half the population is 'food insecure', meaning that half the country isn't sure they will have a next meal! And our government? Sits fat and arrogant loving the power! Stuffing their fat faces with caviar and Pâté de Foie Gras. The don't have the first clue of the meaning of 'accountable'! It makes me sick. And incredibly angry! I should really not read the latest news articles, where our government arrogantly proclaims their virtue and 'being so responsible' and how 'everyone we ask, says so, too!' Zuma actually believes, really and truly believes, that her ban on the sale of cigarettes is going to force every adult in this country to quit smoking and that THAT will bring the 'illicit cigarette trade' to an end. Honestly! Still!
And the State of Disaster has just been extended by another month. With no oversight and no consultation!
Well, I went in to work today and had my hands full sorting out messes again. Those currently being paid to come to work, seem to believe they are doing me a favour by doing the relevant paperwork. Meanwhile, I'm the one doing THEM a favour, coming in to sort it all out - without pay!
Well, when I was finally done, I took At shopping! He's now got all that he'll need for at least a month - food, cleaning materials, and toiletries. At least that's one household that is 'food secure' for a while.
I treated myself to Sushi, as a reward - and consolations. Only the cat food delivery has come, none of the others have arrived, yet. I also bought more margarine, only, I had to try a different brand again, as the one which worked so well is now out of stock. They did, however, have mozzarella, so I took some. But they only had 2 bars of baking chocolate, so I took both. I also got 2 more pastry dough.
I didn't get cigarettes, either. I'll have to go back to work tomorrow to collect.
When I got home, I found two piddle puddles! Sigh! I carried everything inside, and then sat down to enjoy my Sushi! I packed everything away, and then I took a nap. Mippies were happily running around outside - even Mewthos didn't come mewling a lot!
They did come home quite quickly, when I called - except for Ziva. She came quite a bit later, but she's home safe and sound!
Tomorrow, I'll first go and get my cigarettes, then, on the way back, I'll get the milk. I'll give some thought to what I'll do afterwards - I think baking cookies would be a good plan? And some bread, now that I've finally figured out the cause of the flat bricks (the grapeseed oil)!
