Lock-down Day 53

Not a good day. I'm now stretching a single cigarette over 2, 3, even 4 hours. 

Government is now showing us the finger. Never mind just 'defending' their strategy - they've just gagged every local scientist! The public has no right to any information, except what they want us to know. And just to taunt us, we're told "Go ahead! Sue us! See how far that gets ..." It's sickening!

I'm trying not to think at all. We're the only country where Level 4 has more and tighter restrictions than Level 5!

I've been walking into the kitchen every half hour or so, but the simple fact is that I don't need to bake today. I still have muffins, I still have cookies (though I do want more - soon! Better ones) and I still have bread rolls, too.

I've been thinking about the failed butter experiment, and I think that next time I'll use the hand-held mixer. The one on the stand has only 3 speeds, whereas the handheld one has 7. They did say to use the highest speed - maybe the mixer I used, just isn't fast enough? Not that that makes sense to me ... I mean, milk used to be made by hand, right? But I've got nothing to loose by trying.

I did take out a steak for dinner, mippies will be happy about that! I haven't eaten anything they like for dinner lately - they miss sharing with me!

Anyway ... I made it through today. Time for bed ...
