Lock-down Day 49

A good night, so I didn't force mippies to revolt and got up around seven. Three mips ran outside, Mini Mip stayed on the bed. I had half an hour to myself for coffee and a bit of PC dabbling.

Today, I'm paying the price for being so lazy yesterday: I have neither bread nor muffins to eat! No biggie, though - I still have the Knäckebrot. I had, however, decided yesterday what I would do today, so I had a plan and got busy. First, I wrapped the Celery in foil - that's supposed to keep it fresh for up to 3 months! I also wrapped the potatoes in brown paper. Then I sliced the mushrooms and fried them. Well, I put them in a pot with butter and stirred until they were all nice and done - then added an outdated cream. It was fresh cream, which was now past it's 'fresh' date - great for sauces, like mushroom sauce! Which turned out absolutely delicious!

I also made dough for rolls and a pizza. I used half Semolina and half bread flour and also added some rosemary & olive spice, which added a lovely flavour! I put most of the mushrooms on the pizza, scooped some avocado on top, sliced some tomatoes and then grated cheese.

The dough hadn't risen properly, so I'm guessing the rolls will be a bit on the wet & heavy side.

I was right, the rolls are not very fluffy - but great for soaking up the mushroom cream! Absolutely delicious!

I thought maybe I missed something about the speech last night, as I couldn't think of one single item of substance - apparently it's not me. There really was no substance. Past speeches were at least uplifting and motivational - this one left me wondering 'WTF?'. Plus, of course, after the last time, his word no longer has any value. This speech seemed to acknowledge that he has no authority ... He did mention the possibility of Level 3, nothing more. Probably at the end of May ... but since Gauteng is an epicenter, chances are we'll stay on Level 4. It seems my only hope for getting cigarettes would be either in another province (North West is around the corner - my boss stays in North West) or if they finally allow the sale of cigarettes in Level 4. In the meantime, prices are skyrocketing - and yet, if I could get hold of a carton ... I probably would!

Wow! Some good news, for a change! ALL eCommerce is now allowed! I can buy ANYTHING online - except booze and cigarettes, of course. Funny, though, that that's specifically mentioned, since neither booze nor tobacco products can legally be sold online, anyway. Nothing to do with the lock-down. Although vape products could be sold online, I understand ... maybe now as well? Anyway: awesome! Apparently they are working out a plan on allowing the sale of booze ... in alphabetical order. I kid you not! Nothing about the sale of cigarettes, yet ... grrrrr

I'm now so excited, wanting to go on an online shopping spree! Ha Ha Ha! I can't, of course, since I still have to pay ... and my finances don't allow for luxuries. Hmmm ... maybe chocolates? That could work ... 

Oh, and here's another warning, worded to address naughty children, whether we'll go to Level 3 depends on how well we behave in Level 4! Seriously?

I had a long wait for ALL my mippies tonight! First Ziva and Mini came home, but when I went inside to get a jersey, they also wandered off! I sat all by myself, calling, calling, calling! When I called them by name, Mini finally came running soon followed by Ziva ... but Mewthos & Janey? They let me wait and wait and wait! Eventually they both came home - only: Mewthos went and flopped down outside the gate!? Why? No idea! I got up and went inside and they all came inside!

After munchies, Mewthos went nuts again - I waddled behind and picked him up whenever he let me catch him! He is such a cuddle ham! He's now curled up on the bed ...

Oh, and then I came up with the brilliant idea to change the atomiser head of my vaper! Gosh, I'm a silly goose for not doing that earlier! Now, I just need to clean the oil container as well - it's gone a little yellow, and that's not the liquid's colour!

I've smoked a bit much again today. Hopefully with the vaper back to it's best performance, I can reduce that tomorrow. I'm really, really pissed at this irrational ban. Not going into that now, though ... rather go to bed :)
