Tuesday

At work, I'm adapting to working alone, changing the procedures, making it work. My cat food was delivered - mini will be happy!

On the way home, I stopped to buy milk and got two liter again. Yay! At home, I let the big mips out and went inside to open the box so I could feed the mini. I think she is turning out to be a little Mynx!

She loves the mousse - they all do! Remember when I used to have my hands full feeding the mip mips while keeping Ziva off the mousse? Yeah, well, now I'm feeding one mippie and trying to keep three mips, including Ziva, off the mousse! Ha Ha Ha! At least she can eat in peace when I get home, while the big mips are outside!

My landlord has made a change to my outside light during the day. I think the solar panel wasn't getting enough sun during the day, because the light would come on for a short burst, two or three times in the evenings, and then stay off. Now he's connected it to the power supply with his outside lights - and it's on permanently. I'm not sure I'm happy about being in the spotlight when I sit outside, but let's see how it goes.

I also had a chat with him about the electricity bill and he likes my proposal - he'll discuss it with his wife and they'll let me know. I could read in his face that his first reaction was 'that's not the contract we offered' but once I mentioned my 'abnormal' cooking habits, of using electrical appliances - not just the bread maker - it made sense to him as well. They'll let me know.

Back inside, I gave my mippies their treat - during this time, I ignore the mini. I feel it's important nobody feels neglected, although that paradoxically means I have to neglect from time to time. Ziva stalked off in a huff again, but then I went to her with the teaspoon I had used to scoop mini's mousse and let her lick it - that pacified her! Ha Ha, bribe them with food!

I had absolutely no chance whatsoever to sit at the laptop. None. I unpacked all the new mippie food, made my dinner, ate, packed my lunch ... and then I had to open the cuddle cave. I think they are slowly - very slowly, sigh - beginning to accept our little Mynx. The food is helping, I think. I have had to have stern words with each at one point or another, ears got flicked - but there was a lot less growling and hissing. Mynx stays close to me at all times, though.

As I was sitting in the armchair having dinner, I had a good laugh watching her swing on the curtains! She had climbed up, but didn't get all the way to the top and was just swinging back and forth while deciding which way to go! She opted to come down.

I had Ziva on the duvet, under the feather duvet and Mynx under both duvets, not a hand's breadth from each other - but they couldn't see each other, so both were purring happily! Mewthos came for a prowl - he circled us about three times, trying to decide whether to settle down by my feet or stalk off. Janey also stuck her nose above the mattress, looked at Mynx - and turned away again.

Mynx is quite busy during the night, as kittens are wont to be. My cellphone landed on the floor, she investigated the lamp and at about five this morning decided it is time I get up and feed her - she licked my face quite vigorously, something none of the mippies ever took to, but Mynx used to do.

I fed her and gave the big one's a sachet as well. I cleaned the litter box - boy, is that only getting used, now! I think I'll need to get more litter! As soon as I had cleaned it, Janey went inside to use it - as is her habit. She still likes it nice and clean for her to use.

When I opened the passage door, to go to work, Mynx dashed into the lounge ... poor mite, really doesn't want to be left alone with those scary big cats!
