Monday evening

On the way home, I stopped to buy milk, but he didn't have any left. He had told me that one of his cows is giving birth, so her milk is not for sale for a while - so, it wasn't unexpected. I asked if it's okay if I try again tomorrow night and he promised to hold a bottle for me. He also tells me that quite a few people are angry that he doesn't have milk? Huh? What can he do? How can you be angry? I really wonder about people, sometimes. Not too much, though, it's just too depressing.

At home, it was Mini who sat in the kitchen window waiting for me! How lovely! Of course, the big ones were at the passage door ready to dash outside and I let them. First thing, I fed mini, then went to sit outside.

I called Rose, as it was her birthday. We had a lovely chat, she's had a lovely day! Sigh, I miss her!

Yikes! Mippies ate and ate and ate! I gave them a total of five sachets tonight! Mini finished an 85g sachet followed by a 195g tin of mousse! Her tummy felt like a tennis ball! I fried my own dinner which I shared with my mippies again - they were very happy about that! But they had eaten such a lot, that I was able to eat most of my dinner myself.

I tried writing but that didn't work out, Ziva mipped at me from the shelf, Mewthos mewled at me from the floor and Janey just gave me soulful looks from the bed, so I opened the cuddle cave - after making a few notes.

Janey was the first to come into the cuddle cave, so Ziva couldn't really object when she joined ... though I had to push down the duvet to separate the two. Ziva is very particular about her cave, nobody is allowed near her when she's in there. Nobody. I had both hands full scratching Ziva's and Janey's ears and chins for at least an hour. Then Janey left, then Ziva left, then Mewthos circled me on the bed - I grabbed him for a cuddle, but he wriggled free. Mini came quite close to sniffing Ziva at one point - Ziva never noticed her, he he.

I was woken at four by Mewthos who had spotted a cat outside and put on quite a performance! He was almost caterwauling, growling, throwing himself at the window - I had to get up and tell him what a wonderful guard he is and how safe I felt with him guarding us! That calmed him down and I could feed mini then go back to bed.

I got up at half past five, fed mini again, had my coffee and came to work.
