Monday

Good night, early licky-wakey though. When I hid my head under the duvet to escape the tongue, Tynx decided since there's 'fur' (my hair), she can knead ... with claws! Ha ha! So, I had no choice but to get up and fill her food bowl! Mippies were delighted, as they feel feeding time applies to all! I gave in and opened a sachet for them as well.

At work, I'm not allowing the usual Monday-delivery-madness to get to me. I'm not the one who brings the goods at the last minute, so why should I be the one having to rush and risk making mistakes? After all, if there is a mistake, I'm the one held responsible! So! No more rushing! Fortunately I was able to prepare most of the delivery by Friday, and our driver was able to leave earlier than usual!

Two achievements at work today: First, I'm finally getting to research the proper use of the scale for counting - actually, I found the Manual! Which nobody ever bothered to read, they just assume that what they're doing must produce the correct results and when it doesn't they blame the scale. And second, I got the IOD sorted out, my employee is getting her salary and can now stay at home while she is booked off.

At home, first I found Mewthos had twirlied my jersey all the way into the shower! I took of my safety boots and got busy: feeding Tynx, taking the rubbish out, feeding Tynx, cleaning the litter box, letting Mewthos in through the window, feeding Tynx, watching Mewthos use the clean litter box, clean it again, feeding Tynx, letting Mewthos out through the door, feeding Tynx ... man, that mini cat sure packs it away!

Then I went and sat outside to wait for my mippies. For some reason, I'm covered in insect bites, though. I'm itching in several places. I've watched and none of my cats are scratching, so it's not fleas. And they're all dosed, so there shouldn't be any. Also, if they had fleas, I'd see some in the litter box. I suppose it must be mosquitoes, then. You wouldn't think they'd be an issue in winter - but here, they are. I hear them buzzing when I sit outside. But I've never before had so many bites at once!

Mippies were no trouble coming inside - I actually had to cut my cigarette short, as they were all three inside waiting for me! This isn't the first time that's happened. They are a weird bunch - never a dull moment!

Inside, I started dinner. I cut the Schnitzel into strips, fried it, fried a tin of sliced mushrooms, boiled some water, added the Spaetzle, then packed my lunch while they were cooking. Added it all together and added the sauce to make the meal taste like Geschnetzeltes, Zuericher Art. Mostlyit just adds a tasted of roasted onions.

Then I played my game, turning mippies away and now I'm on the bed, typing the blog, with Ziva in her cuddle cave, Janey next to Ziva, but outside the cuddle cave (Ziva won't tolerate anyone in her special place!) and Tynx just came to sit next to me. After she's torn apart the bathroom! They've all three been playing merrily while Ziva was with me. Janey played with one of the paper sticks I had rolled - swatting and chasing it from the passage to the bedroom onto the sleeper couch then under, while Mewthos and Tynx tore through the bathroom doing I-know-not-what. I just heard the noises! It's all calm now, though.

I got mail to let me know the groceries have been dispatched, so they should also arrive either tomorrow or Wednesday. I'll keep you posted!
