I finally got the keyboard working, but the mouse? Still not. So I'm using the wire mouse I normally use with the laptop and the wireless keyboard. Sigh.
I'm taking it easy today, no pressure, nothing. This morning, all I've done is play doorman to my mippies ... letting them in, letting them out, in, out, in, cuddle, out ...
I've also spent some time playing my online game - getting over the withdrawal symptoms of the past two weeks! I also posted a message to the fellowship - we're kind of back where we were a year ago: loosing active members. Only, now I can NOT take on all the tasks and activities required to keep the fellowship alive and growing. So, if nobody is willing to help, the fellowship will slowly sink. Thing is, it is a game and most people want to just play - no more. Selfish, true, but it's a game - no more.
I've baked my bread rolls and had one for breakfast. Yummy! I'm now trying to do my online shopping, but there is so little that I need, I'm not having much luck adding enough for free delivery!
Well, I spent the entire afternoon shopping! The easy way - online! I came across a couple of fun things, like a soap rest. It's kind of a sponge, which absorbs all the soapy water - you just need to rinse it once in a while. So, I've ordered three - basin, shower, bath.
And then I stumbled across a double-storage Ottoman! I've wanted one of those for a very long time - to put at the foot of the bed and store my linen. Then I could take them out from under the basin and I could put the bathroom cleaning stuff there and the washing powder could go under the kitchen basin. I also found a baking tray that should fit my oven and a bread bin - then I won't need to use plastic bags anymore. Oh, and I read that using honey instead of sugar helps keep the bread longer. So, I'll be giving that a try.
I also saw some produce bags, to use instead of the plastic - but the shops here get quite stroppy with me, when I don't want to use their wasteful 'one plastic for each item'. It's quite a joke, as, on the one hand they advertise how they are conscious of the environment and don't want customers to use plastic shopping bags - but the truth is, they just want to sell the paper- or material-bags. Basically they want the credit for environment consciousness but their customers must pay.
Oh, and then I went into the anti-virus thing - I don't have anything on my PC at the moment, which isn't good. So I did some research, got what I wanted and installed it. It found no virus', I'm happy to say. I've also uninstalled several programs I no longer use, that should speed up the PC a little.
I didn't give mippies too much attention today - playing doorman is keeping me quite busy! I treated them with a tin of tuna - which only the mini went nuts over! She cleaned her bowl, then methodically cleaned Ziva's, Mewthos' and Janey's! I gave mine some sachets as a consolation prize.
Mini still doesn't have a name. Is she Mynx the Second? Hermeowne? Purrdita X Mip?
