Tuesday

A good night followed by an early morning. Mippies were quite active and I had to grab and cuddle Mewthos a few times. I gave them a scoop of Iams, since they were so keen on getting out - it's all I can do for them. I wish I could stay home with them!

Funny thing, I haven't had milk this weekend - and no chocolate cravings anymore. Hmmm. Actually, it would make more sense to link that to the increase in fruit juice I've been drinking. Ah well. This Friday I must drive through to Pretoria East, so I'll re-stock.

At work, I'm somewhat sad - a colleague told me he came home last night to find his dog had died! We've been swapping pet-stories for a while now, so I feel like I've got to know his little darling. And I've had such a lovely cuddle session with both Mewthos and Ziva purring in tandem last night!

I didn't get a chance to finish writing last night. First, I had a bit of a bread dilemma, of all things! Well, my wholemeal is almost finished now and I should bake a fresh one for tonight, for Thursday's lunch. But the wholemeal bread takes quite a while, so I decided to defrost a loaf instead and warm it in the oven.

The rolls I baked last night also weren't fully baked on the first attempt, so I put them back. Second time went better, but - even though I let the dough rise before baking - it hasn't risen enough. I guess because it's too cold in the evenings now. Still, I enjoyed dinner - mippies, however, were very disappointed as I didn't share.

My pet food had arrived and we had fun unpacking the box! Ziva and Janey climbed into the cupboard, watching me load it from a receiving perspective. Mewthos stuck his head in from atop, watching my every move.

This morning I woke up just before the alarm went off, so I had a leisurely cup of coffee, a few grab-and-cuddles before going off to work.
