Work related dreams making me unhappy. Something has to change ...

Anyway, back to today. Just sent the below to friends on WhatsApp ... I don't really do Christmas, so it's more a bit of a duty.

Well, supposedly no load shedding today ... let's see how long that lasts.

Internet is lovely so far! Four to five bars signal!

I've started by unclogging the bathroom drains - the shower was becoming a bit of a bath, and the bath was taking ages to empty. I've pulled out all the hair I could, now I've poured some bleach down the drains, hoping that'll help more.

Just had a lovely, long chat with Rose. I'm afraid she's been going through a very distressing time, which is why I hadn't heard from her for so long ... the thing that bought the flat I used to live in made life impossible for her there. Really! It's unbelievable that one person can do so much harm ... Rose actually had to move out! Leave her garden, her home, so many of her memories and belongings ... to be driven out of your home by one person! Rose is now living in a one bedroom flat on the 4th floor! Shadow is living with her daughter ... no cats, no garden, I think it's only her strength of character that keeps her going ...

Well ... I'm still cleaning the veranda. I suppose I should hose it down ... maybe later. I'll have to pick up all the bags first, because the water 'drains' at the front! Really badly built. I'd like to clear, clean and re set up the table for seedlings. In one corner, I'm afraid that I have a fairly big hornet nest going ... 

I've just made myself pancake batter ... I'm hungry. Well, it's past one ... now, if only I could flip pancakes, that would be just awesome!

I just paid my rent and topped up my credit card ... 

It's now too hot for comfort - 34 degrees Celsius, in the shade! So I'm trying to keep cool on the bed, watching 'Prime Suspect'. Mippies are plonked everywhere, napping ... 

Some good news, of sorts. Instead of Stage 3 load shedding, we're only scheduled to have Stage 1 from 05:00 tomorrow morning. We're only due to go off 16:00 - 18:30, which is better than the six to eight slot. And, for once, I can listen to an audiobook on PC tonight! 

Can't skip watering again tonight, so ... I'm watering the garden ... 

And there's yet another kitten in my garden! A tabby. A little older than the kitten - I quite enjoyed watching the two of them play this evening. Apparently they've moved into the dog hut! Good! They're safe there!

Shame, my tenant had a couple of beers last night, and is STILL suffering hangover! He hardly ever touches alcohol. He slept all day, and this evening he surfaced with a mother of all headaches, feeling weak and miserable. I gave him Paracetamol and made him a pancake, so he'd have something to eat.

Well, mippies are inside, treated, I've showered, and now I'm about to settle down ...
