Not sure what time power came back on, as we had load shedding from eight to ten ... I did wake up around twenty past ten and the power was back.
Tonight, load shedding again from eight to ten tonight.
I took a sort of bath last night - in just a little bit of water, flopping around like a whale on the beach.
But it got the sweat off! Temporarily ... because when I woke up after ten, the duvet and my pillow were soaked! Urgh!
Well, today is Friday, yeeehaaa!
I need to get in touch with Onderstepoort. They didn't give me enough medication for Lady Jane. She needs 6ml a day for 21 days. That's 126ml. They gave me only 125ml. Worse still, they gave me 5 x 25ml bottles. Glass bottles, the ones with a concave bottom. The syringe can only go straight to the bottom ... so ... I can not possibly get the full 25ml out of any bottle! I opened the 2nd last bottle last night, and used about 2 or 3 ml of that. Which means I have about 47 or 48 ml left - for another 10 days!
Okay, I can pick up another bottle of meds for Lady Jane on my way home. Which, of course, I'll have to pay.
Cat food delivery is on the way ... they called forty minutes ago to confirm I'm here, I told them we close at half past two ... now it's ten past and they're not here, yet. I hate this!
Phew! Almost twenty past and the cat food arrived!
Back at home, since I don't have to mow the lawn, I can carry on with projects. Today I decided to steam clean the pavement outside my bedroom. There isn't much grass coming up, but quite a lot of weeds. On the whole, that seems to indicate that the steaming is making a difference.
I didn't quite finish, but almost! Looks really good, again!
Aaaand ... load shedding now continuously at Stage 2 until further notice ... Damn! Power off tonight from eight to ten and again tomorrow morning from four to six. Well, it could be worse ...
Poor Janey! She was hiding when I came home and didn't come outside until I practically chased her! Then, she didn't want to come inside. She was right ... once inside, first I treated mippies, then I dosed Janey. Poor girl threw half of it up half an hour later ...
Well, at least I could shower today! But I just don't feel like making dinner - I took out a lovely rump steak!
Tenant is working tomorrow, so he'll build Smeagol's new home on Sunday. Bit of an incident - when I came home, the whole house smelled of Mewthos' defense! I'm going to have to wash the floors this weekend ...
Quarter to eight ... better wrap it up ... pretty much for the night. Back tomorrow ...
