Funny incident last night: Mewthos was behind the flowers in the center bed, mewling for attention - the mommy cat came happily running towards him ... then, when she saw WHO it was, she was kind of taken aback! She'd expected it to be Smeagol!
I can't decide what I want to do today. With the upset yesterday, my head is getting stuck into weekend mode ... thinking along the 'must do' lines. If I want to have something to show for this holiday - unlike last year, when I mostly just worked in the garden - I should get some special projects done.
I've now started with fixing the mippie food shelf. The top shelf fell down - one of the shelf holders had come out. Time to sort that out, and while I'm at it, clean that shelf inside out, as well.
Done. Washed the kitchen floor as well. Now I'm outside, cleaning the bed around my Thyme bush.
Done a lot. Not complete, of course.
Smeagol is really, REALLY protective of his girlfriend! Today, when she wanted food and it wasn't time, yet ... he just marched into my house, attacked Ziva until I came in ... then gave me a look that clearly said 'this is YOUR fault, not mine!'. Not just the look, when I went outside after him, he mewled at me quite aggressively, until I took the bowls and he knew I'd got the message.
I had two bowls of Bolognese before load shedding - one too many, I'm afraid. One would have been enough.
Cleared a bit along the fence from the grapevine ... saw the other kitten up close for the first time. It's a grey tabby. Looks a bit like my neighbour's cat. Hint, hint.
Tried to take a shower ... water standing ankle deep ... messaged my tenant, I'll need his help tomorrow. I quickly 'showered' in the bath.
Still Stage 1 load shedding - we're not scheduled tomorrow! Yay! Which means I get another night of uninterrupted ceiling fan and to choose any audiobook on my PC!
Well, just past eight ... settling down ...
