Mewthos mewled very insistently this morning - and since I didn't want another spray-party, I gave in and got up. He's really complex. He wants attention, but not just any attention and different attention at different times. Well, they all do, but with Mewthos it's a much stronger need - plus, of course, his show of unhappiness is extreme!
Okay, I wasn't going to write about unpleasantness at home today - meant to give it a break, but ... my poor mippies won't even go out! They're mipping and mewling for attention! Not only are the sprinklers on - AGAIN! - but there's now hammering on my gate, plumbing work on either my kitchen drain or their bathroom drain, special sprinkler set up on my lawn ... If it's meant to be an intimidation tactic? It's working! I know I'm overreacting, because - well, what's the worst that can be done? Getting shouted at! Still ...
It's noon and the sprinklers are finally off. Looks like he's connected an outlet to my kitchen drain again. I'm not sure whether it's meant to water his garden or to supervise what comes out of my drain?
Well, I've baked bread and a few cookies and washed most of the floors, so the worst jobs are all done.
Cookie dough in the fridge, pasta and chicken strips with veggies is cooked, dishes are washed - the pipe is not connected to my kitchen sink, by the way. Yeah, it's weird stuff.
Anyway, my lunch is packed, everything is done and ready - refuse is in my car's boot (yuk! My car is really gonna whiff tomorrow!), no 'must' left on my to do list!
Mewthos had me quite worried! I went to sit outside for a smoke, it's getting dark and my ladies arrived - no worries! We all sat and waited, I called, I called, and called again ... no Mewthos. Janey was back outside the gate, motioning to go off again ... so, to be on the safe side, I called them inside and gave them a treat. Then another. Went outside and fetched Mini - she still needs a special invitation ... called again and again. No Mewthos! I had just given up, went inside, locked the gate ... when he came mewling through the gate! My heart soared with relief! I think I would much prefer to have them shut inside a safe yard, than having this worry every time one of them is late! Here, I don't know where they go, and I wouldn't even know where to start looking ... I'm grateful they have always come home, eventually. I'm not going to continue this thought now ...
Well, the nice thing is, I'm all set for work, the place is clean, dishes done, so on Wednesday (which is a public holiday) I can do just whatever I feel like! No 'must'! I'm quite looking forward to that, now!
