Lock-down Day 164

Good night's sleep, with lots of mippie cuddling. Mini absolutely adores having her fur brushed! That look in her eyes when I start - it's just too beautiful! But nobody can keep brushing forever, ha ha ha! Ziva came into her cuddle cave, Janey slept on the arm chair and Mewthos on the pillow above my head.

This morning I woke up with a frightening though: I can't rent a house! A woman alone ... living in a house ... on her own, is just too vulnerable. But what else can I do?

I'm always told how the law is so unequally in favour of tenants ... I must be missing something, because I don't see it. Landlords make every life-style decision for their tenants: kids, how many people in the family, pets, smoking ...

I am so tired ... tired of everyone fighting for THEIR rights, with no regard for whom they trample. Whether it's drivers overtaking recklessly ... yet, at the same time, I, too, just want to retreat into a place of my own where I have MY rights.

I really should cook myself a proper meal, but I just do not feel up to it. I'm just so tired ... at the moment, I'm tired of life. I get like that at times ... usually when my home doesn't feel like home. No worries, I'll get over it. Could also be a lingering effect of having been sick most of last week.

Having found a scorpion under the litter box didn't help, either. Time to get out of this rural life and back to the city! Okay, it was only a baby, and it was dead ... but scorpions? Nooooo! Thank you very much!

Okay, I got off my rear and cooked. Nothing special, just pasta with veggies. Tomorrow night I'll have fresh meat again. I'm not re-stocking on anything, though.

I've checked my contract and it's 60 day notice period. I really, really want to get to look at some places this week ... get the process going. Anyway, that's tomorrow.

Today, I have a mippie to punish for breaking off the flower on one of my desert roses! Just cuddled up to it till it broke off! I wonder who it was? The most likely suspect would be Mewthos, or Mini. I think I'll just punish each with a couple of kisses! Ha Ha, only Mewthos doesn't mind being kissed! The ladies endure it, but don't like it!

Today, we had to wait for Mini to arrive! Mewthos was getting quite impatient and had chased Ziva and Janey down the passage already, then came out and angrily called her to get home, now! Ha Ha Ha! She was in the tree down the driveway, and came strolling along soon enough!

Well, I've rolled myself a dozen cigarettes, which should be enough - only, they're not totally dry, yet. Well, the tobacco is still a little damp. Should be fine by tomorrow, though.

At least I'm feeling better ... should make for a better week, too.
