I'm now keeping the passage door closed at night, when I have to work the next day. That saves me having to find mippies in the lounge in the mornings, before I can go off to work. And it keeps them from creating too much havoc in the lounge at night!
This morning they demanded a bribe for staying indoors again. Mewthos is the leader in this morning demand. He jumps onto the counter where I feed them and mewls and mewls until first Ziva and Janey join him on the counter and Mini goes to her bowl on the floor and then carries on mewling until I give in and open a sachet for them! Then they know they'll be stuck indoors and start playing and keeping themselves busy indoors. When I leave, I have no mip in the passage or any trouble whatsoever. Nobody seeing me off, either, ha ha!
Well, that's now our morning ritual. They'll be happy mippies this afternoon, when I come home early! And the next two days, when they get to run outside again, all day!
I was busy at work, so the day went past very quickly. Back at home, first thing I did - after letting mippies out - was to wash the dishes, so I could get busy in the kitchen. That done, I turned on the PC. Internet seems to have a strong signal - but pages aren't opening. Sigh. Since this has no graphics, it's usually the only thing I can open when there is a problem. Though sometimes, it can't save ... so I just have to hope I don't loose what I type. That should only happen, if I can't save and then the power goes out ... maybe I shouldn't say that, I might just jinx it!
Load shedding is starting again. We're getting a cold front so ... we must freeze, because there isn't enough electricity for heating. Good thing I don't rely on a heater, eh? But it does mean that cellphone towers are powerless - and that affects my signal. Sigh.
It's now half past four and I haven't seen so much as a whisker of any one of my mippies, yet! They're out and about and evidently don't miss me at all, ha ha! Not a bad thing, as it gives me time to do my own thing. Only: what thing would I like to do? Ha Ha! I've done a little garden watering - some of the plants were looking awful.
Ah! Mewthos has come mewling for cuddles ... oh, and here's Ziva!
Okay, roly polies and scratches given! I've also washed the potatoes - I got some baby-safe (= alcohol free) eco-friendly produce sanitizer. I've cut half the potatoes in half and put them in the steamer - dinner tonight will be potatoes with butter! Yummy!
Twenty past six, all mippies inside, safe, sound and with tummies full of yummies! Ditto mommy - the potatoes with butter and salt were lovely!
Yikes! I just struggled for about an hour to get back into this page! With a bad internet connection, then I'm told I'm not signed in, trying to sign in but half-way through the internet goes off again - so I'm told password incorrect and ... and ... and ... I thought I wouldn't be able to get back in at all! Talk about frustrating! I hope I'll have more luck tomorrow!
Well, mippies are all curled up ... uhm ... were all curled up on the bed, now they've got up again. Mini just wants to lick my forehead - the Nivea again! But I'm not allowed to kiss her face! Talk about goose and gander, eh? And now Ziva is in full play mode - not sure what she's playing with, but it's lovely to watch her play! She's now attracted Janey and Mewthos! Ha Ha Ha! So precious! Ah, now she's playing with the ball on the track - cat toy! She's jumping this way and that, pawing the ball, which rolls off and she jumps over the track to catch it from the other end! And then, she's done and walks off ... only to have Mewthos do a high jump at her! That was funny!
Well, I'll try to publish this now, then snuggle up in bed. Hmm, I keep seeing this 'nice cup of cocoa' on 'The Alfred Hitchcock Hour' - I wonder if I should try that sometime to sleep at night? Well, I'm actually happy with my chamomile tea!
