Lock-down Day 102

Poor mippies! Back to home alone all day, again! Well, Mini was happy to have her fortress back, but that was the only happy part of my going back to work - for them. Well, the only part they understand. The part where I can buy them food, is beyond their comprehension.

At work, the first thing I did was to clean!  I've also re-arranged my office.

Yeah, I forgot the delivery for tomorrow, so I had to sort that out, first. But then I carried on cleaning. It's looking almost nice in my office!

I am glad when five o'clock comes around and I can to home, though! Pick up my milk on the way - and then: let mippies out! They dash past me at top speed! And I get busy inside ... litter box, packing lunch for tomorrow, kibble bowls, etc.

Janey comes home fairly quickly, so I give her some lovies - only, she leads me outside. She wants me to come outside to play! Of course, it's already getting dark now ... Ziva shows up as well, so I lead the two ladies inside and dish up a treat ... Ziva is not interested and dashes back outside! Sigh. I run after her, and see her digging a hole ... when she's finished her business, I pick her up and carry her inside! Mewthos and Mini follow soon afterwards.

Only ... they're not happy about being shut inside! They've been inside all day - surely they get to go out all night, now? No, sweetie pies. Outies over! Okay, so then we want attention! Sigh ... not all together, but one on one - while I'm trying to make cigarettes! Ziva in my lap, scratching her ears ... Mewthos by the door, mewling! Janey on the bed, disappointed. Mini dashing around.

Trouble with the cigarettes: the tobacco I cut and put on the tray last night is too big, so I have to cut it some more, and it's too wet! And the water is starting to grow a film on top, so I pour it out and put the leaves in the sieve to dry. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for tobacco tomorrow night ... my process is up to shit! I need to re-think how I'm going to carry on from here ... I may need to buy another packet of cigarettes or two, to tide me over. Sigh. It sounded so simple: wash, dry, cut (some use a blender, some use a pasta machine - sounds so simple!), and that's it! If you're up to it, maybe add some flavouring ... only ... I'm not even getting the 'wash, dry, cut' part right! I definitely won't be using my pasta machine, nor my blender! But I am considering using my little Twista! Question is: when? I mean: how wet / dry should they be, when you shred them? Too wet is just a mess and won't cut well, anyway. Too dry and it just crumbles. Sigh.

Well, I've packed some leaves for At and another pack for another colleague. It would be nice, if I could make a week's worth of tobacco over the weekend. From the images people have posted, it looks like that's what everyone does ... Maybe I'm just a special kind of stupid?

Enough for today. What a day, though! Mippies have settled down, so I think I'll join them!
