Lock-down Day 21

At last, a good night! Yes, I know it's only been 3 days - but when you can't sleep? That's a lot. Unfortunately, this morning, the pain is back. And this time, the anti-inflammatory isn't working. I've now taken 2 - after breakfast. By the way, my home-made cheese has received the lick of approval from Mini! Little minx is under my feet all the time.

I can't just 'make it through the day' again - things need to get done!

Well, I washed the dishes and then I stumbled across another information session - I didn't realise it was from yesterday, though. It was a Q&A session with Dr Karim, again very informative. After that, I saw a live session of ministers discussing the easing of certain lock-down regulations ...

I'm glad to see that the easing of lock-down is starting, that's promising. It means that, even if the lock-down is extended, more goods will be available. Still only essential goods, and now repairing essentials - vehicle repairs, burst pipes, electrical problems. There are still a lot of goods & services, which are essential - but aren't recognised as such. Yet.

I'm still not up to speed, the pain still comes and goes, just not as badly as before - or maybe I'm just stopping it faster, now. But at least I cleaned up one of the shelves in the kitchen and I'm baking myself one of those bread-omelettes. I filled it with bacon, mozarella and cut tomatoes.

While I watched the news, I worked on my belt - it's nearly half finished now. When did I start it? December, remember? Ha Ha, yeah, it's still a long way to go ... but I also really need to work on something for Mini to scratch. My Ottoman is looking worse every day!

On an unrelated note, I'm still struggling with this silly emotional thing ... no matter what I'm watching, whenever there's an emotional scene - I just want to cry! I just get this lump in my throat - it's really annoying! Under normal circumstances, that would indicate I'm suppressing something ... that I need to work my program ... at the same time, I'm getting more lethargic. Listless. Uninterested, just ... bleh. Yes, the world-wide crisis - and especially the strict lock-down in South Africa, is getting to me, it's getting to everyone, I'm sure.

Dinner turned out very well, albeit painful to eat. After dinner, I took two extra-strong anti-inflammatory pills ... I'll definitely sleep well tonight, probably even sleep late tomorrow morning. Three of my mippies are already curled up on the bed, I'm going to fetch mini, who's self-isolating in the kitchen, then go to bed.
