At work, I was learning some new excel formulae ... or, to translate: I played with a spreadsheet. I came across some cool new formulae! Yeah, I'm a geek!
On the way home, I got milk. At home, I got busy! Weird, eh? I swept the whole place, then washed the kitchen floors and the worst spots in the rest of the flat. The floor may not BE clean, but it looks clean! Don't ask ...
You had to ask, didn't you! Well, here's my thinking: when I spent every Saturday gardening - which I love - and left the inside to itself, I never had those 'low energy' days. Well, only on Sundays, when it was chore day. So, I'm guessing that it's a matter of attitude rather than anything physical. So I got to thinking, what I could do about that.
The only realistic option would be to do the chores on working days. What kept me from doing so in the past, has always been that I'm not young anymore, and don't have all that much energy in the evenings, either. However, on Mondays and Tuesdays, I might get something done - from Wednesdays onward, I'm usually too tired. So, I decided to give it a try tonight.
As I said, I made the floors look clean, and then I processed the Spanspek and the Strawberries. I offered the 2nd half of the watermelon to my landlord, who gladly accepted. The strawberries, I'm sorry to say, were mostly puny and ... not very nice. I wasn't even tempted to eat one or two - they're just good for freezing and blending. Which is what I'm doing with them.
There's still some food left to be processed, but I've taken care of a large load today!
Hopefully this coming weekend, I can do something I enjoy, rather than having a load of chores that need to be done!
I do need to go to the German Butchery on Friday, though. And that means food processing as well. Hopefully not too much!
And now I had better cuddle Mew-Mew! He's been mewling for attention ...
