Tynx is doing well

I just had a call from the vet student who operated on Tynx and she's doing well. Grin, both cat and student. There were no complications, and Tynx was not pregnant - which is always better, of course. I guess Ginger must be shooting blanks? Ha ha!

Anyway, she tells me Tynx is a feisty little one. They've removed all her lady parts, so she should not be going in heat again - though it may take a while for her hormones to settle down from the last bout. Once she wakes up, they'll put the cone on her and will give her some pain medication - they'll also give me 2 days doses to give to her.

They'll still monitor her tomorrow and I can pick her up any time after two - I'll ask to leave work half an hour early, just so I miss the rush hour traffic. Taking time off is always a bit dicey here - you never know when they decided to take a day's leave off. Anyway, I'm glad my little girl is doing well and should be up and about very soon!

I must bring her back in 10 days (uhm, that would be Friday 13th? Or are they open on Saturdays?) to have her stitches removed and then she can run and charm the neighbourhood again!
