I did not get much sleep last night. Tynx - knowing that something's up - made sure I woke up again and again throughout the night. We'd cuddle and kiss and cuddle every time, just to let her know that I love her! And nothing bad will happen to her.
This morning, all mippies were upset at the change in routine - something isn't normal. I got up around six, made coffee and stepped into the lounge to have a smoke - yet, no mip was allowed to come outside to play? I put the cat carrier on the Ottoman and mippies skedaddled - zoomed into the furthest corners, peeking at me from behind curtains!
I cleaned the litter boxes, re-filled the basin with water, filled their Fit 32 dispenser, picked up mippies for cuddles left right and center.
When it was time to go, I had to trouble putting Tynx in the carrier - but everyone was uneasy. Then I had to leave her outside, to come back inside and put on my safety boots! The drive to Onderstepoort was ... noisy! Whenever possible, I'd put my hand into the carrier through the flap on top, but at times Tynx howled like a siren on full blast! It was not a pleasant drive.
Interesting enough, though, when I turn towards Onderstepoort - basically turning back home - she's quite quiet! So, her internal compass is set to home. Once at Onderstepoort, however, she's quite calm. She's quiet, even purring. She weighs 2.8 kg now - so she's picked up 0.2 kg in the past month. Not as much as she did the first month, I'm afraid. But I'm sorry, I really can not afford the tins of mousse anymore.
Well, the two students who admitted her fell for her charms, so she'll get lots of cuddles! I also left the cat carrier, the blankie, two toys, two sachets and two tins of mousse. She'll think this is a wonderful hotel, I hope!
Sigh, and with a heavy heart - wishing I could rather curl up in a cage next to her - I turned and went to work.
