Mippie home!

By twenty past four, I couldn't wait any longer - I left work and went to fetch my mippie! I hit some traffic on the way - rather on the way to fetching her, than with her in the car!

They hadn't put the cone on her, apparently because she hadn't tried to pick at the stitches. It took a while to finish the paperwork and they didn't sign her card - the vet had signed a separate card. Sigh. Ah well, I've got the document. They gave me 2 days doses of Petcam.

I'm not sure why, but they shaved her throat, both her wrists and her entire tummy! Poor girl has so many stitches! I'm not surprised she needs pain medication - and hasn't tried pulling the stitches out, yet! I haven't yet decided, whether I should maybe put the cone on tomorrow - just to be on the safe side? Clearly, this isn't like with Janey, where she was still fine even though she had pulled out all but one of her stitches!

At least I'll be home early tomorrow and then for two days! I got a long letter how to look after her, not to let her jump onto the bed or sofa, no running, no exercising ... nothing until the stitches are out. Uhm ... hello? Should I keep her sedated? Or what?

Well, she isn't moving around much, yet. She doesn't jump onto anything, just walks here and there - so, I don't think I need to worry too much.

My mippies are behaving very strangely, too. Lady Jane didn't even go outside! She went to the kitchen instead and stayed inside the whole time! Ziva and Mewthos didn't go anywhere either, and when I finally went for a smoke, Ziva came inside! Mewthos just sat by the front door - didn't move, just sniffed around the door and the flower pots.

Janey worried me a little, not her usual behaviour at all - and she hadn't even seen Tynx, yet! She made no move to go outside, at all! But when I opened a sachet, she ate - so that's a good sign.

On the way home, Tynx cried and cried and cried - I think I get what the vet meant about her being feisty: poor girl is almost hoarse! She squeaked more than she howled! I learned - too late - why she was crying so much. When I stopped to buy milk, she couldn't hold it in anymore - when I got back to the car, puh! I was glad to be so close to home - and so was Tynx, I'm sure! It was solids, so ... quite a pong!

Poor girl, she's being hissed and swatted at from everyone again. Mewthos is the worst! He goes up to her then bares his teeth and takes a swat at her! I've had to smack him twice, already! At least by now, he's settled down. They're both on the bed, not far apart, both curled up and napping.

I decided to take a nice bath after the day I've had. Mewthos serenaded me again and after I got out, when the last of the water was still running out, he jumped in! He misjudged a little - there is no water free place for him to stand, so he got all four paws and his bum soaked! I had a hard time not bursting out laughing! Especially when he finally jumped out and stalked off shaking each leg individually with every step he took! It looked absolutely hilarious!

Well, now it's time for bed. Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight.
