Last night I moved one of the blankets in front of my
nightstand and placed all kittens on the blankets before I went to sleep. It
took some persuasion for the mommies to get off the bed and join the brood –
but all in all, I think they’re happy there. This morning they were all still
on that blanket – no nighttime moving to another location. Not even under the nightstand.
Throughout the night one or other mommy hopped onto
the bed and snuggled up to me – in Silver’s case, on one occasion she walked
all over me! I still slept well and woke up nice and early again – then stayed
playing with mommies and kittens so long, that I ended up leaving almost late!
At work my mind is filled with fluffy kittens – having
a hard time getting anything done. Not that there is any urgency, everything is
smooth and trouble-free ... for now. I could fill this page with mindless
babble – actually, I did, but then chose to delete. It’s bad enough that I’m
bored – no need to spread it.
Back at home, cat and kitten play time. Yay! They are
beginning to develop personalities which we’re both eagerly monitoring. At one
point the neighbours tom appeared in the bedroom, closely followed by that
aggressive white tom! He (the white tom, that is, not my neighbour's) sprayed my front door something awful, so I had the
pleasure of washing down the walls, door and floor out front after my neighbour
left. Just what I was hoping for – tired as I am tonight! Shadow tried
following my neighbour home again when she left – I don’t know why, exactly.
Maybe she feels she’s done her bit – time for Silver to pick up the slack.
For myself, I’ve packed my lunch, had my bath and I’m
for an early night.
