Leisurely Sunday full of kittens and flowers

Three hours after running out Silver came back. It was too cold to keep the door open – she stood outside and meowed to be let in, then ran straight to the nest!

When I went to bed, both cats were in their nest with the kittens. There were some noises, which I steadfastly ignored. Then there was a thud on my bed as Silver settled herself by my feet. I woke up this morning with Silver still by my feed and the nest empty again! This time Shadow had carried the kittens under my nightstand – I can’t fathom any reason so I guess she just feels restless at night and needs something to do. Like us re-arranging the furniture on a rainy weekend! My waking up also initiated Silver’s mothering side and she jumped off the bed to join her kittens under the night stand. Shadow was lying in front of it.

I tried taking photo’s of the kittens, but they just won’t lie still! I got a few clear one’s though.

This is one of the twins - the only difference is this
one has a long-sleeve (stripes all the way to the paw)

This is the calico light-weight loud-mouth

The weather turned out quite lovely today, so I went downstairs to take some photos of the new flowers.

I had just taken the one, when I saw my neighbour and she enticed me to take photos in her garden – such lovely flowers in bloom there and such amazing colouring!

Lovely arrangement indoors!

This is the pigs-ear flower, it hangs down so I had to lift it
to get this photo

See what I mean?
This is the whole pigs-ear

Aren't these just almost cuddly?

These I call 'nipple-plants' - but only in my head :)
I was surprised to see them flowering!

Next I took photos in my garden.

These are flowers of that weed I allow in my garden
Such luscious butter-yellow!

We're finally beginning to flower!

Snap-dragons! I've never seen these before - the name
intrigued me, so I got a packet of seeds.

My neighbour showed me how to 'snap' them!

Las time these didn't last - they had an accident.
Extraordinary colour!

Exquisitely coloured Carnation!
Like the tips were dipped in purple!

Tomatoes! Second round!

Extraordinary colouring as well!

It was such lovely weather, my neighbour and I decided to spend some time in the garden – me weeding, her crocheting! I chose to work on that final patch still covered completely, where the garden disservice left such a mess. I made some progress – it’s really slow going because the whole ground is completely covered in weed of all sizes. Once you’ve found a grip on the big one and pulled it out, there’s a whole host of smaller ones waiting for a chance to take over.

I didn’t stay too long in the garden, as I still had some chores to do, and – of course – I want to play with the kittens!

Well, everything is ship shape and Bristol fashion and I’m ready for Monday!
