As I
wanted to leave for work this morning, Silver came running and meowing. Okay, so
I fill the bowl before I leave – apparently that’s not what she wanted, because
she keeps meowing and follows me all the way down the stairs. I suspect she’s
trying to tell me that Whiskas tasted better, but I can’t figure it out.
Fortunately she stayed behind once I purposefully strode to the garage – I
wouldn’t know what to do if she followed me all the way to the car?!? I am
curious to find out, whether she’ll be less skittish now, when we meet in the
garden. She never let me anywhere near her – would always run away fast, if I
made even a move towards her.
At
work I’m overloaded – which I love! It’s always better to have too much on your
desk, than to twiddle your thumbs any time of the day. Oh, and I think my phone
must have fallen out of my pocket at some point – either in the car or at home,
when I fed Silver. I remember putting it in my pocket, but when I got to work,
I couldn’t find it. Emptied both pockets – nothing.
It’s
lunchtime now, and I still haven’t even caught up with the load in my In-tray –
let alone the e-mails! The new task – the one with the deadline – has not yet
been touched, yet, either. I may have to stay a bit later today. But at least
Wednesday is a Public Holiday, so it’ll be a short week. I’m strict about
lunchtime, though – something I learned from the guys. Anyone wanting work
during my lunchtime is sent away to come back afterwards; some take offence at
that, but that is their problem.
Well,
found my cell-phone – in the car. When I got home, Silver was waiting for me!?!
At the bottom of the path, just behind the garage. Extremely skittish again,
but I could pet her – once – on the way to the stairs. My neighbour was waiting
for me, to fit the finger-less gloves she’s knitted for me.
I
don’t know what Silver wants – she only nibbled at the food, but ran away when
I get too close, she runs away again. When I took out the garbage she ran all
the way down and along the path ahead of me – until I detoured over the lawn to
get past her. When I got back, she jumped over the wall to avoid me! A while
later, Ginger showed up!
Continuing
the gourmet habit, I made one of my special marinades for the rump steak. That’s
tomorrow’s dinner. Tonight I’m having a Dagwood with all the trimmings … well,
Cheese. Lots of cheese! Close enough. My dad actually bought me some Blondie
Comics way back when, to help me learn English.
On a
totally unrelated note, I think it’s time I unfriend Stupid on Facebook. The
number of idiotic statements popping up on my news feed is increasing
ridiculously!
Oh,
and there was a partial lunar eclipse tonight.
