Bizarre cat adoption

Breath-taking sunrise this morning! Up early, off to work. At work I finished a whole line of documents – which took me a whole week for the first line. Before I knew it, it was time to go home.

At home I got quite a surprise: As I pull into the drive-way I see Silver sitting on the lawn near the front gate! As I put the car away in the garage, I see Silver getting up and coming towards me – when I get out of the car, there she is, right outside the garage waiting for me! Seriously? Are we that easy? Moving fast, aren’t we? She’s strolling around my feet, sitting nearby while I chat with my neighbour. Playing catch with some stone or piece of plastic. Every now and then she moves up the stairs indicating I should be going up. When I get up, I see the bag of food has been ripped open! Self-service now, is it? Evidently she doesn’t like the Whiskas – at least now she turns her nose up to it. Last week she ate it! Half an hour lap and cuddle time and then I got to get some chores done – the one’s I didn’t do over the weekend. During dinner Silver keeps insisting on more lap-time – not that she’s begging for the food, but it’s a nuisance. After dinner, finish the dishes, sit down – cat on my lap.

This is really bizarre. Until this weekend, Silver ran off whenever I got too near her when she was in my garden – and now she’s behaving like she’s always lived with me? Just like that? I don’t know what to make of that! Well, at least there’s no problem with her sleeping outside.
