Apparently the power never came on after load shedding last night ... it finally came on about quarter to nine ... Just over an hour until load shedding at 10.
It's that kind of overcast again - the type that gives me a headache. Sigh ...
I've crawled under the sleeper couch to grab Spitfire Vimes, to give him his medication again. Sybill was easy, she came out on her own. I also cleaned the room for them. Mewthos didn't like being medicated, and doesn't like his wounds treated, either.
Mini is STILL growling and hissing at everybody, and everybody is hissing at Mewthos. Mewthos just cries to me, asking if I, at least, still love him - of course I do! But this crazy menagerie is driving me insane.
Load shedding ended at noon, next turn at six. Never more than 6 hours power at a time ...
Mippies are not happy about being shut in, Janey keeps looking out the back, then turning to give me a mournful look, mipping 'Why can't we go out?'. Mewthos mewls at the door, Mini paws at me to let her out ... Ziva is hiding. All this misery is upsetting her. I wish I could join her, just hide until the madness has passed ...
I just brushed Mewthos, then Mini ... she flippin' growls at the brush!
I've cleaned the kitchen, and decided to bake a loaf in the machine ... I just don't have the energy to shape and bake rolls.
Aaaand another change to the load shedding schedule. Instead of Stage 3, we're going to Stage 4 at four this afternoon ... snakes and ladders ...
I planned to watch The Fellowship of the Ring for a while now ... I'm drained today, can't go into the garden, so I thought today would be a good time ... only ... I started too late! It's almost four hours - and I only have power for 6 hours. Chores took more than 2 hours ... the one's for which I needed electricity, that is.
Anyway, I fell asleep soon after I started watching ... lack of sleep catching up with me.
I woke up with Mewthos next to me. Ziva came calling, I brushed her ... Mewthos reached out to her for lovies ... and she finally gave his head a few licks! The hissing from his mum and sister are hurting him more now, than any wound! Those two, at least, seem ready to welcome him back! Let's hope Mini comes round as well ... I can't take this discord much longer!
It's quarter to five. I should try and trap the other mommy cat ... only ... I just don't have the energy. Headache has been around - on and off - most of today.
I've showered, and that's about all I can manage today. I'll still have to feed the ferals, and the babies, and pack my lunch. I've decided to just take a slice of bread and cover it with roast and sauce. All of which I can do during load shedding ... which starts in half an hour ... whereas I still have about an hour of the movie to go ... sigh ...
