Still missing my Mew-Mew! I'm beginning to wonder, whether he isn't raising his temperature on purpose, to extend his stay at the vet, ha ha! Although he's in a cage, there - he gets me to visit him every day, and I spend almost an entire hour with him! At home? When he calls me out on the lawn, we spend about ten minutes together - and then the girls come running! He NEVER gets a full hour of my undivided attention ...
Well, I hope to be able to bring him home on Saturday! He's running up a bill higher than his temperature - by far!
Back at home, I managed to dab a few drops of Curatex on Smeagol's face. He does NOT want his painful face to be touched ... I understand. Even when I tempt him with wet food, he won't come close - clearly the pain is worse than the food is worth! Poor bastard!
I had no energy for gardening ... I did, however, manage to water. Played rat race with Lady Sybill for a bit ... and forgot the sprinkler! My tenant reminded me - and when I went out, to turn it off, Tabetha jumped into the water bucket to get away from me! Poor mite!
Load shedding from eight to ten ... I managed to shower, heat my dinner, eat half before the power went off ...
Mosquitoes were such a pest again, I couldn't sleep ... stayed awake until the ceiling fan came on again ... this has been a very bad week for me. I'm totally knackered - not enough sleep, more than enough worry ...
My head is spinning around the weekend, I'm afraid. I would like to really get organised, make progress at home ... in fact, I know I have already made much progress, it's just that I don't have a plan to mark it off against ... and once something is done, it's just <poof> out of mind! So, what I really want, is a list I can look at to see just how far I've come - for moments like now, where I just feel I've achieved nothing.
By the way, last night I had only the brisket without any potatoes ... not nearly as yummy! Plus, too many vegetables ...
I've spent a bit of time looking up cooking times in pressure cookers, so I can have that table at my disposal, at home. Even if I don't have internet ...
Well load shedding tonight again from eight to ten, and tomorrow morning again from four to six. During the day, we'll be off from noon to two ... so, basically, power on for no more than 6 hours. Load shedding 2 hours, every six hours. Tomorrow we're dropping to Stage 3 during the day ... hrmph ... cause for celebration, eh?
I think I'll spend the afternoon in the garden, after I've visited Mew-Mew, of course! So ... I'll publish now ... won't have time to write this evening ...
