SoD Day 20 LS 4 5 Wednesday

Mew-Mew is doing well. First thing he did, when I visited, was to empty his water bowl in my lap! That's my Mew-Mew, alright!

I spent an hour with him, he spent a lot of the time trying to get comfy in the litter box and washing himself. Clearly, he's fine! As in: he's not traumatised by the stay at the vet's. Much better than poor Janey or Ziva, when they had to stay at Onderstepoort!

I got home, and put some wet food in one of the styrofoam trays from the butchery, put it in the trap, carried it out ... Smeagol marched right in! I didn't even have to set the trap, just held it open for him, until he was inside!

As soon as he realised that he was trapped, he showed his displeasure in no uncertain terms, though! I covered the trap and carried him into the garage. Got another tray, added more food, placed it in the other trap. This one I had to set - the previously trapped mommy was eyeing it with distrust! I put it near the flower bed, where the kittens were hiding ... went to fetch the blanket to put over them ... as I was coming back, I heard the trap shut! Both kittens!

They're quite docile - even the tabby, which is still so terribly wary of me! Smeagol, on the other hand, has already peed everywhere, shredded his plate, tossed out the food ... yeah, he's very, very upset!

Can't blame him! I've asked the vet to deworm Smeagol as well. First they suggested Revolution Plus, spot-on treatment - I told them that I already tried that. They can't give him a pill, so in the end she made a note to give an injection. I also asked to please let me know all they can about him, his age, his history. Yes, he has been 'nothing but trouble', but it's not his fault! He's doing the best with the cards life has dealt him ... and he deserves the best life I can give him!

I just hope that he will calm down now, be less aggressive towards my mippies!

Hopefully tonight some kind of normal can be restored! I really hope I can bring Mewthos home tonight! And, once I let Lady Sybill out, Mini should stop her aggressive behaviour! I wonder whether she thinks she's being replaced? How would a thought like that even enter her mind?

Well, I spent a bit of time on my tomato plants - until it started drizzling, promising rain ... another empty promise, though. I spent time just sitting with my girls on the veranda. Showered, checked for messages ... huh? Juice is out for deliver? Message sent at half past five? Followed by three missed calls at half past six? What, I was supposed to stay at work? Sheez!

Well, I sorted that out this morning. First sent them a mail, asking they investigate and let me now when I get delivery ... only, turns out someone here took the delivery, just didn't bother to let me know ... got it, now! Still, business address = business hours!

I'm also very grateful that 'Lets Spay #SA' is sponsoring the ferals - I pay only R200 per cat, they pay the difference! Given the bill Mewthos' is accumulating ... and the ferals on top of that ... it makes a difference!

Awww ... Mew-Mew can't come home, yet! My poor, poor baby!

And just for fun: They're busy adding another 8 Stages to our load shedding schedule! Currently it goes up to Stage 8 ... now they're working their way up to Stage 16! Stage 8 is already 12-14 hours off per 24 hour cycle! Do they realise that you can't go more than 24 hours? That's all the hours there are in a day?

Well ... I give up. With the latest debacle over the Tshwane mayor ... we, the voters, voted for a DA mayor, yet now we're sitting with a COPE twit, who won't cope, because he doesn't care ...

Well, fifteen minutes to go, then I'm off to visit my Mew-Mew!
