Lock-down Day 723

I forgot to mention the set-back with the Iams! I had to open the new bag today, and found about a quarter of the kibbles all lumped together ... and not looking edible anymore. The bag was still in the lounge when it flooded, but I assumed that - since it's a sealed plastic bag - well ... assume makes an ass out of u and me, right? I'll have to find containers into which to decant what's still edible, today ... 

Mippies are eating more kibbles since I've reduced their treats. Which I expected.

It's overcast again this morning, and my head is definitely feeling it. I've been struggling with headaches all week ... 

At least I managed to 'fix' mippies flower fountain last night! Since the power outage, it's been off. I tried quick clean, but that wasn't enough, so last night, I cleaned it thoroughly and it's back in action! Mini and Janey are very happy about that!

Ziva is demanding lots and lots of attention this morning - while Mewthos is still hissing at Janey! Ziva, at least, has accepted her back into our society. She's been washing Janey and curled up with her in my wardrobe.

I'm double-sifting through the Iams. First when I take it from the Iams bag into the container, then again, when I take it from that container into an empty Royal Canin bag.

With much swearing and outrage, I managed to save about 2/3rd of the bag. It's painful, frustrating and, given my current financial situation - with being short-paid by a month ... throwing away food is just awful.

Mini just brought in a very noisy bird! I was able to distract her into releasing it, and it got away. Seriously, she could have lost an eye! That beak! 

I'm low on energy, so I took a nap. Then I cleaned the kitchen. I'm hungry, yet, at the same time, I don't feel up to making any food. I've nibbled on some cheese, in the meantime.

I reckon today's lack of energy is a result of the meds I took to overcome the mild migraine. Although I have been feeling somewhat off for a while. Sore throat, headaches, listlessness ... 

Tonight, mippies came in early, since Smeagol is outside. I've done the laundry and packed it away ... I think I want to just call it a day ... hope for a better day tomorrow. The sky has cleared, so I shouldn't struggle with another migraine.
