Lock-down Day 712

I keep hoping to find news that the lock-down will finally come to an end ... I mean, it was supposed to be only 30 days! Not much to go for a full 2 years, now!

Well, I woke up during the power outage, I'm afraid. So, when I woke again, it was a wee bit late. Still got to work on time, though.

The trouble with baking bread while I'm not available is, that the machine has an automatic 'keep warm' feature. And any heating uses a lot of electricity. It couldn't be helped, this time, though. Funny how many times 'load shedding' results in the need to use extra power = waste electricity. Well, not exactly funny, since electricity cost is getting out of control ...

Around nine, mippies' delivery arrived. My fruit juice is also due to arrive today. The ePetstore courier has a new system, where I have to give him a pin. The pin is sent to my e-mail ... fortunately it's only 3 digits, so I memorised it. Good thing I checked my mails yesterday ...

Around two my fruit juice arrives! Lovely! I'm re-reading some old blog, from back in PE! Mippies were really hyper active in those days! Well, they were still kittens, really. I don't think I could handle another kitten phase now, ha ha!

Hmm, four years ago it was already getting cooler, almost cold, this time of year. But then again, PE is usually cooler than Pretoria.

I just checked the weather report, no rain forecast this week ... there's a rebellious cloud outside, though, which has decided it's time to burst ... it's pouring outside, ha ha!

Oh, crap! Load shedding has been extended - to continue non-stop until Saturday 05:00! Here's the fun schedule:

Tomorrow: 08:00 - 10:30 - I'll be at work
                 16:00 - 18:30 - no problem!
Thursday: 16:00 - 18:30 - no problem:
Friday:       00:00 - 02:30 - audiobook off phone Thursday night.
Saturday:  00:00 - 02:30 - audiobook off phone again Friday night

So, this time is not too bad. Minimal effect on me, personally.

Back at home, Meister Piddles has been busy! He sprayed the door to the garage and it ran all the way across the lounge to where I still have my books drying! Now they have an additional eau de MewPee! Lovely!

Grabbed Janey and gave her her last pill! She hid in the wardrobe, the one where the clothes are hanging, though, so I could get her quite easily.

I unpacked my fruit juice and did my chores, then watered the Rosemary and the flowers in the bed next to it, then set the sprinkler to water where the bean bushes were and the yellow rose. The first sunflower opened up today - it's yellow. Well, the packet did say they can't guarantee the colour. The other one should open soon, maybe that one will be red.

I continued weeding the tomato bed. At one point, Ziva chased a frog into the bed! I discouraged her from chasing it - frogs can be dangerous.

Back inside, I packed my lunch, then showered. Now all four mips are spread out next to me, waiting to share my dinner, ha ha!
