Lock-down Day 707

Late morning, I'm afraid. Still enjoyed my coffee, then work.

Heavy traffic in Rosslyn. The killer robot is out of order - that always backs up traffic for kilometers! Fortunately, they appointed pointsmen to direct traffic - but only after I had stood for about half an hour! Still, once they arrived, traffic got moving. Forty minutes late!

Around nine, I had a gap - work-wise - and quickly dashed to Ninapark. Unfortunately, their meat prices are in line with everyone else, now ... a teeny bit more than the butchery here. BUT their meat looks much, much better than the butchery, PLUS they put dates on their meat. The butcher doesn't - so you can never tell how old anything is. With petrol having gone up Tuesday again, I expect prices are going to sky rocket some more ... so, I stocked up. Big time!

On the whole, I'm happy with my hoard. The Sushi guy wasn't there - again (I gather Thursday must be his day off?) - so I treated myself to croissants again. They had no Borax. Again. Nor yeast - well, not the yeast I want. No worries, though, the meat was the important thing! And yes, I spent a wee bit more than I planned - but not much.

Saturday, I'll be busy vacuum packing all the meat into single portions, then freezing it. It will be good to have a decent piece of meat again for dinner, for a change. I've been living off sausages and cheese, mostly.

Frankly, I'm taking a 'break' today. I've worked flat-out since Thursday ...

I'm just excited about my shopping! Yeah, even though it's just groceries ... so?

Back at home, I unpack. This takes quite a bit of time, fortunately Smeagol is late for his dinner - he usually sits out back calling for lovies while I clean the litter boxes, get changed, etc. Today he only shows up when we're already going back inside.

I spent a bit more time pulling horror grass. By the end of the day, I'm too knackered to even fry a lovely fresh steak. For dinner, I just have left-over sausage from last night ...

I didn't even get time, nor did I have the energy to finish this post.
