I woke up just after six - and immediately started stripping the duvet out of its cover and crammed it into the machine. Let mippies out, to get them out from under my feet ... then coffee!
I'm going to have to clean the protective sheet, as well. Which is a problem - it's overcast, so it won't dry. I'd like to get a second protective sheet ... but they're not cheap. So, for now, I'll have to use towels. Sigh ...
Okies ... time to shut down the PC ... power is about to go off.
Swept the house, changed the sheets, cleaned the litter area and started putting the lounge back together. The bed is now just waiting for the duvet to dry.
And now the internet is offline ... again! I can't handle this shit! I'm just trying to get the load shedding schedule through on WhatsApp, that's all. I think the problem in the battery of the WiFi router, though. It's bulging again, as a result, I can't close the back ... and the connection between battery and router is ... wobbly. I think I will have to procure a new router this week ... Since this happens every two years - though I was able to stretch it to three, this time - I think a more permanent solution would work out cheaper in the long run.
In the meantime, I just have to hope ...
On with the cleaning. The duvet is dry, so I've put a fresh cover on. I've put the base cover and the protective sheet in the machine - first a cold cycle, then 40 degrees. I'm hoping the protective sheet will be dry by the end of the weekend ...
I've moved some dry books back into the shelf - they don't look pretty. Makes me sad. I've checked the underside of the one bookshelf - no new mildew. I've decided to make that my garden shelf. I'll pack the seeds, tools, etc that I keep in the lounge, in that shelf. I'll also pick all garden-related books and place them in that shelf.
I seem to have the energy needed to do everything I need to do today; which is a good thing, because - thanks to Mister Piddles - I have a LOT to do! On the whole, though, the sheets needed changing, anyway. I've washed the floor area between my desk and the music shelf. Now I need to deep clean - scrub the grouting, the skirting, wash the walls, spray and treat the skirting ...
The rest of the bedding is now in the machine with all my towels. I've thought about this deep cleaning of towels, and decided against it. Or rather, instead of filling the bath tub, I'll use the machine. First a cold cycle, then I'll do a hot cycle with vinegar, bleach and detergent. And maybe turn off the machine - let it soak for a wile ... or maybe I won't. I haven't decided, yet.
