Lock-down Day 617

Friday, 3rd December

Good night, early morning ... the toothache has abated to tolerable levels.

Milk's gone sour. Thank you, Eishkom!

I've decided not to buy more milk today. I'll use long-life milk. I should maybe get more of that for the shut-down.

Living as far from shops as I do - though some would say, that it's not all THAT far - I just don't want to have to leave home at all! And I've been thinking about week after next. Client wants last delivery on Tuesday, 14th. The 16th is a public holiday. Most business close on 15th. So, why don't I keep my holiday as initially planned - only, I come in on the 14th, just to do the deliver notes.

Well, the day is over and I can go home ... to - urgh! - mow the lawn!

Which is proving to be extremely difficult! Those two partitions on the eastern side are ... awful! The one around the dog hut is difficult, with rocks, sticks and other obstacles at the back. Maneuvering the mower is quite a challenge.

But the other partition? An absolute nightmare! It won't cut. It is too tough. It doesn't shred, either - it just blocks the mower. A wad of grass acts like a stick - too thick & tough to cut, just blocks the blades. When I got aggressive and just forced the mower, I end up pulling out tufts of grass, and leaving the rest untouched. And it is hell on my shoulders! I won't be able to do this every Friday! No way!

I also assembled my new wheelbarrow. It takes three mower bins.

I managed to finally finish that section, and then moved on to the easy part. Mowing that entire front section - from the partitions all the way up to the wall, even including that horror stuff in front of the roses - is less work than that one partition!

I didn't finish, though. I gave up around seven. I finished about as far as I had reached last Saturday. Just that part I had to do Monday, is still left to do.

But I really must think of some way about that partition. For now, I think my best solution would be to mow more regularly? I really don't want to buy equipment. And I also cannot end up in as much pain as I am tonight!

A hot bath relieves the pain somewhat, though not completely. Early night ...
