Very bad night. I woke sometime after midnight - no power and major toothache! And couldn't get back to sleep for hours ...
I amused myself by connecting mippies flower fountain to one little power bank, and then I connected the air cooler to the big one - not only against the heat, but also against the mosquitoes! They are already feasting!
As a result of my midnight activities, I struggled to get out of bed - and it was past seven when I eventually managed. I kind of wish now, that I hadn't bothered - seeing how my day is already going!
Two deliveries just arrived: my new wheelbarrow (but not the rest of that order?) and the cat food I had ordered yesterday.
I had to boil the kettle on the gas cooker, as the power was still off when I left. I left the flower fountain on the mini port, so it's running, and took my smart phone & the big power bank to work, to re-charge ...
But do you know which part really, really sucks the most about this power outage? Once again it happens the day I bring meat & milk home! Which, after a day in the boot (albeit in a cooler bag) are not really cold anymore, and really need time in a refrigerator. To refrigerate. The power wasn't on long enough ...
I just hope the power came back during the day. I think so, because I'd say the outage was weather related - it rained as I was falling asleep around nine, and there was quite a light show (lightning) as well.
Well, finally some activity regarding my return! Well, no news, just saying they've received my images & will escalate ... but at least I now know it is still on their 'to do' list!
Re the power outage: I can just say that I'm glad I'm not living in in the area affected by the Mooikloof substation! There was a fire, and they will be without power for some 9 days!
Well, I didn't get much sleep last night, so better try to catch up tonight! Power is on!
