Lock-down Day 289

Got up a little later than planned. Got some chores out of the way, now I'm trying to figure out the trickiest challenge every week: what's for dinner! Ha Ha! I wish I could just pour myself some kibbles or open a pouch for a treat!

Well, I went outside and started picking up more grass ... and more ... and more. Until about ten, when the sun got too strong - I definitely don't want another sunburn!

This grass cutting feels like a step backwards. It's not, it's progress, but it FEELS like a step backwards. Feeling isn't reality, though. It feels like that, because in my head I had written off the grass as 'done' ... I didn't expect it to be any more work. He had said - at first - that he would rake and take away all the cut grass, as well. I had also expected that - with all that talk about petrol mower being so much better - that the grass would all be cut. Nicely. All of it. So: the problem is simply my expectations. I expected more than I got. Simple.

I still have a small rectangle left to clear in the partition outside my bedroom. I put up the gazebo over the bed next to the grill, though, and worked there. Still re-clearing the portion of the newly sprouted weeds ...

Oh, and I mowed the back lawn again. Didn't take long.

It's done! I finished clearing the bed next to the grill - not as thoroughly, as I would have liked, but as well as I could! I'm happy! And I've placed every last succulent from the pot into that bed and then set up the sprinkler! They should now be much happier and ready to spread and multiply!

I counted four baby cabbages today! And that's just from the one I got from Rose - not the one's already here, though in the other bed. I'm happy!

I also watered the back lawn, so that tomorrow - if I feel like it - I can carry on clearing the border. Then I got mippies inside ... Janey wouldn't come! She sat on the roof! I saw Smeagol in the vicinity earlier, but he was around the corner by then - I guess that's what kept her on the roof, but that's no reason to ignore my call to come in! Nothing I could do, so I went inside, fed my three ... and then took a shower. When I came out, Janey was sitting outside the front door, asking to come in!

Internet was extremely slow, so I eventually gave up. Just sat back, watched an episode and tickled tummies!
