Lock-down Day 286

Earlier morning at last! Enjoyed my morning coffee, dressed, and went to work. Argh! I forgot to shut and lock my front door last night! That's not good! Yes, the gate is locked, but that's just irresponsible!

It rained sometime during the night - over one, maybe even 2 mm! Not much, but still better than nothing!

Oh, lovely! It is pouring here at work! Nice, strong, steady rain! I just hope there's enough water left in those clouds, when they reach my home!

Well, that didn't last very long. Not even an hour later and the sun is back!

Forty minutes later, and it's raining again! Cool!

Jiu! It's coming down by the bucket! Regular cloud burst! I hope there are no flash floods on my way home!? Giggle, ask for a little rain, eh? Be careful what you wish for!

Two hours later and it hasn't stopped raining - although, by now, it has petered down to a drizzle. Temperatures have dropped as well! Lovely! I can't wait to see how much rainfall we had at home!

We had a total of 8 mm rain! That's overnight and during the day! Not all that much - but enough to make me happy!

Smeagol was - again - waiting for his dinner! Which I gave him right away. It was drizzling a bit and I thought I might have to go inside, but then it stopped. I cleared the space in between the back lawn and the bed ... and discovered how that strange succulent there propagates: It makes teeny little rose-shaped flowers all along each leaf, those fall off and each one starts a new plant! They are all over the lawn already!

Well, I made good progress and the ground was soft enough for me to clear roots and all. Around quarter to seven it started to drizzle again, and I went inside. Lady Jane wouldn't come - she sat in front of the front door, and just wouldn't come to the back. Okay, so I let her in through the front door! Ha Ha! It's because Smeagol sat in the herb garden, and she would have had to go past him.

Sigh, as I thought: past eight before everything is done. Litter boxes clean, water fountains re-filled, lunch packed, dinner cooked, eaten and shared. Showered. Everything. Now I can lie back, relax and watch another episode ...
