Tuesday

Mewly twirlied my poncho onto the bed, then curled up on it - some time during the night. I actually woke when he was twirling over my legs! Last night I guess I didn't make enough time for cuddles, I had better make it up to them tonight.

Woke very early, around four - thank you, Mewthos! I got up about quarter past five. Got to work nice and early so I could take over from the night shift.

Our driver wasn't busy today, so I asked him to take my car and get some compost and potting soil - it's in my car now, so at least that's done. I'm still so busy, I just can't get away myself ...

Two of my staff just surprised me! There is a stash of bins outside, which had been abused as oil containers ... and these two guys just took it upon themselves to de-grease and clean them! I had mentioned that it needed to be done, and they just went and did, what is a really awful job! I was really quite touched. I got them a bottle of Coke to say thank you.

On the way home, I stopped to fill up the car and they cleaned my mippie decoration off the windscreen. Only the windscreen, though, not the rear window.

At home, Lady Jane was on her lookout post again and my face broke into it's usual evening smile! I let them out and then offloaded the compost and potting soil. Uff! What a job! But at least it's done, although I didn't water the garden tonight. I did take a quick stroll through, though and the first Zucchini flower has definitely had its day in the sun. I'm still not sure whether today or yesterday.

Lately Ziva leads the move inside - she's always the first to go inside, now. Yet by about eight, she's fretting to get out again. Like now. Sigh.

I cooked myself dinner tonight, for a change. I still had a packet of Zucchini, so I boiled them briefly, cut them into slices, then fried them while I boiled some pasta. I also added a tin of chopped tomatoes and sprinkled some Parmesan over the lot. I packed the same for tomorrows lunch.

Then I folded the laundry and packed it away and last I showered. Now, it's eight ... sigh.
