I did not have an uninterrupted night, but mippies were blameless this time. I got up around half six and left for work about ten to.
At work I found complete chaos! The factory had been working the entire weekend - but did not book anything! They just crowded my office with a collection of bins filled with products and scraps of paper giving quantities and status' - which turned out to be wrong, just to top it all! I had the usual eight o'clock teleconference with our client - sitting there with my pants down, as I had no numbers!
And just to make things more interesting, I had a run-in with my storeman leaving me no alternative but to start disciplinary proceedings - something I absolutely dislike doing, as, in my opinion, it is an indication of failure on the part of the manager. And in this case, I have to acknowledge that I've clearly given him more freedom than he could handle - his attitude is clear proof of that.
It's now lunch time and I've only just finished what should have been completed by ten at the latest! And I still don't have any figures from the weekend shifts! Sigh ... I wanna go home ...
The rest of the work day was no better than the morning and I was glad when it was finally five and I could go home. I didn't spend more than a few minutes on the hand-over, since the boys like to do that by themselves.
On the way home I decided that today I won't stop to get more milk, leave that for tomorrow. Mippies had fun, albeit only for a short time. I took a stroll to my vegetable patch and all the cucumbers seem to be flowering. Mippies came inside and had their munchies, now I'm cuddling one after the other!
I'm just going to relax for a bit, then make it an early night ...
