I'm feeling my own self again today, which is quite a relief! It's also due to certain work-related decisions I've made.

There is such a lot that needs to be done to bring the business towards a place where the word 'professional' can start to be applied - it is too much for one person. Unless there is some sort of buy-in from the rest of the company, anything I do lives and dies with me; which makes it a total waste of time. Some of the issues are way outside my area of responsibility, and the issues within my scope are already an enormous task, that I can't even instigate any activities beyond my area of responsibility. Unless someone else buys into the concepts, and someone actually takes responsibility - it's not worth my effort.

And that takes a big load off my shoulders - I'll just trudge along in my little world, implement systems here, get things organised ... and hope that someone outside will want to follow suit before I hit a wall. Meaning that, sooner or later, whatever systems I implement will affect and be affected by the world outside. And unless that world adapts, I'll find myself hitting a wall.

Anyway, I'm feeling much better and that's what matters - at least to me. Mippies did not zoom into the lounge when I got up, so I did not have to call them back and disappoint them. They zoomed around the bedroom, though.

Aaaand my cat food has arrived! So mippies will get Whiskas sachets again, not only Royal Canin - I wonder if they'll be disappointed? Ha Ha, Mewthos probably won't - he just gobbles anything I put into his bowl!

I left work a little late, since we have a night shift working tonight and I handed over. As a result, mippies had a little less time outside - but they had their runs and explores, so they weren't upset when I called them in.

They enjoyed the variety in tonight's treats, though! So much, that Ziva and Lady went to fill the litter box right after dinner. First Ziva dropped a load, then Lady. I cleaned - for the second time! Then Ziva went for a widdle - and I cleaned again. I sometimes wonder what they think about me digging up what they cover so carefully? Especially when I scoop it up right after they've dropped and covered it? Well, I do know they love a clean litter box.

It took me quite some time to unpack their food, one of the dozen was delivered loose, not in a box - fortunately I still had the last box. I also filled both dispensers, as they were both quite low, so I was busy with their food for quite some time tonight.

With my own food, I took less time. I fried a pork chop and packed tomorrows lunch. It wasn't a very big chop and I had to share with Mew & Lady - Ziva, for some reason, wouldn't take a piece.

I'm having trouble with the internet again, sigh. It's frustrating! I can't even save, let alone publish, this blog - and I've been trying for the past fifteen minutes! Make that twenty minutes, now ...
