Reasonably good night. Mip Mips settled down not too
long after going to bed, but I only woke up near seven. Still early enough to
enjoy a cup of coffee before going off to the shops.
The twin enthusiast messaged me this morning, rescinding
her offer to take them both – it’s a matter of her heart being bigger than her
house. She has fallen in love with the twins and really, really would love to
take them – but she already has a house filled with cats. Yes, it is a bit of
an emotional rollercoaster – but I did have a feeling this was coming. Nuff
said – no hard feelings. She’ll have to come and visit, meet the twins!
Got my groceries, and came back to find my internet
was still out. It had gone out just before I left – and it’s ten o’clock and
still not service. I tried disconnecting and re-connecting, even switched the
router off and back on. It flips to roaming every now and then but no access to
the internet. Ah well, no game today. Second time this week – Tuesday night the
game itself conked out somehow. I couldn’t access it almost 24 hours. Doesn’t
worry me too much.
Right now the door is open and the Mip Mips are
outside – but constantly coming to me for attention. One after the other. Over
and over and over. And when they are giving me a break, Ziva comes. Ai ai ai.
It’s overcast today, so I’m thinking of clearing the weeds off the path. I’m
invited to a braai this afternoon, so I hope the felines take full advantage of
their outdoor time.
Sigh, they are taking advantage – in ways I’m not too
happy about! They are venturing along the path, outside the garden by the road!
I can NOT see this! I really wish I had the option of keeping them just
indoors! But unfortunately the indoor space is insufficient and the furniture
and stuff I’d need is too expensive to just go out and get it. At this time,
I’m spending that money on getting them vaccinated, fed and in litter.
Everything I’d need would cost a month’s salary! I am, however, planning on
getting there … one day!
Yay! Internet is back! Better go tend to my games
quickly, before it goes off for another four hours!
The sun is out and it is too blazing hot to garden, so
I’m taking a nap instead. Mip Mips are napping in the lounge – none come to
join me, though.
When I get back up, Mewthos is sleeping on my chair.
Looks up at my approach with his big brown eyes and mips! Short little mewl
just saying ‘hi! Hold me?’ Who can resist that?
When it was time to leave, I carried the Mip Mips into
the bedroom – of course, as I’m getting the second, the first gets up to
investigate! Ziva was nowhere to be found, so she got locked out.
The braai was great fun! I stayed way, way later than
I had planned, simply because we were having such a lot of fun!
When I got home, Ziva was happy for me to rescue
her from the unwanted attentions of another terror – we think this one’s a
stray. Drinking Coke all afternoon has left me wide awake now, so sleep is
going to be … challenging.
