I slept late, woke up with no energy. Spent quite some
time with Ziva before I went to the Health Shop. Then let the Mip Mips out, who
aren’t going far, still.
Later our electrician and pneumatics guy came for a
quick visit. They saw the Mip Mips, Ziva and the bird – they were surprised how
big they were at only three months. Rose shared how her tom was also much
smaller at the same age, but he had a challenging kitten hood, with only food
from his mommy until she disappeared.
The guys brought the furniture from the site, that isn’t
needed there anymore. I was allowed to select some for myself, so I opted for a
trestle table, garden chairs and two small desks. They placed the trestle table
ON TOP of the rolled up hose pipe – why? Who knows? And the desk they put smack
in the middle of the lounge. The other desk went to Rose.
They blerry strapped down the drawers with tape! Take
off the tape, take off the desk finish. Sigh!
I ventured into the garden while the felines were
holding their daily Siesta – and collected another bumper crop of cherry
tomatoes! Then we played “What mommy doing?” for an hour or so. Well, I was
trying to garden, and the felines … well, just watched my every move.
Rose showed me a video of Lizzy! She’s doing very,
very well and even making friends with the dog! She tapped him on the nose – no
claws, no hissing, no bushy tail, and no spitfire! She’s a very lucky girl to
have found such a wonderful home! And I’m very happy she’s settled in so
quickly. Sure, there are some ‘teething’ troubles, like when she climbed on top
of the wardrobe and was scared to jump down. But overall, she’s a very happy
and lucky kitty!
And for as long as they’re stuck with me, so are her
brothers and sister! With the two new chairs that came today, they are now
snoozing each on their own chair – and mommy on the chest behind me. I’m eating
biltong again, and Ziva is NOT being a total nuisance!
When I was scooping the litter box earlier today,
Mewthos came in to use it. Seeing that I was busy with it, he politely sat
outside. Yeah, not the best solution! I picked him up mid-stream and plonked
him inside. The look I got from him? Priceless!
Well, after the late night yesterday, I better try an
early one tonight.
