I had the most horrible nightmare last night. I dreamt
I had to move the cats and kittens to another city, some five days travel, and
all sorts of things and people were trying to kill them! Both cats and one
kitted didn’t make it – in my dream. I woke up to find the whole lot sleeping
by my feet, and spent some time stroking and cuddling them till I could sleep
again.
Not for long though. A few hours later cats and Mip
Mips start cavorting around the bedroom, the passage, the bathroom, the spare
bedroom – and for some reason or other, each mad dash takes them across me! I
think I must have skid marks (of the clawed variety) across my face by now!
Eventually I give up and escape to the lounge – only to
have the Mip Mips do everything they can to join me! They only settle down when
I come back to the bedroom and they can clamber over me. Awww. Crap! Both
mommies have gone out, so I figure it’s a good time to feed them. No sooner am
I sitting down with Mip Mips around a plate of food … when Ziva appears! Food,
see? That cat is obsessed with food! She has quite a round little tummy
already, without actually being fat. She’s as slim and sleek as she should be –
just with a little round ball in the centre.
I’m not sure what’s up with Shadow though, her poop
stinks abdominally! Even when covered with odor absorbing litter! It’s also
soft rather than solid. We missed giving her the second dose of deworming, we’ll
do that today. I hope that will help. It’s not pleasant in my bathroom – can’t
bath with that in there, and I’m gagging when on the loo!
I went to Checkers for a change, to get my groceries
but I didn’t have much luck. The only groceries I got were a half dozen rolls
and a piece of cheese. I did, however, get a lot of cat accessories! A water
dispenser, some fine sand which will hopefully solve my litter box woes! I also
got some toys, a scratching post and a litter scooper.
Not having had a good night – again – I decided to
take another nap. Also not undisturbed. Afterwards Ziva went out and brought in
another bird. Sigh! Quizzy Lizzy then went and carried it off behind the mirror.
Well, I cleaned the place behind the mirror – that towel
I had put down reeks of cat pee! I’ve taken the mirror away for now and I’ve
put down more towels, just in case. I’ve set up another litter box – smaller and
with fine sand – for the kittens in the bathroom. Quizzy Lizzy and Tiger Tim
went straight in to eat the sand! Sigh!
For myself, I have almost no energy to do anything, I’m
tired, tired, tired. This can’t go on much longer, I need sleep. Real sleep.
And at the same time, I don’t want to give any one of the Mip Mips away. It’s
going to break my heart. Every one of them is special to me, Quizzy Lizzy with
her curiosity; Tiger Tim always climbing up on me and instead of crying, he now
purrs when I pick him up – well, sometimes; the twins needing to be fed by hand
since they don’t like eating off a white dish for some reason. They all prefer
their food straight out of the tin, though.
Ah, well. Carrying on regardless. Now’t else I can do.
